AdminSpaceGodzillaDec-17-2023 8:23 AMSince the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire trailer has dropped, I'm curious which Monsterverse Godzilla movie trailer sold the movie the most for fans. We're about 10 years since the first trailer for Gareth Edwards' Godzilla (2014) trailer dropped and I still remember getting goosebumps watching it for the first time. Fast forward a decade the Monsterverse has really transformed into quite the expansive franchise.
Creatively each trailer was very different, as each film has been. But - which trailer do you think was the best? Which one did the best job at selling the movie and got you the most hyped? Watch them all below and cast your vote!
For me, I'd have to say it's still Gareth Edwards' Godzilla (2014). The tone, the atmosphere, the build-up and the score - all made for such a captivating trailer, I can't tell you how many times I watched it back then. Even now rewatching it - it still holds top spot.

I'd have to agree. That trailer was actually scary and intense. It's too bad the movie we got didn't live up to what the trailer promised/inferred. I recently rewatched the 2012 Comic Con proof of concept teaser that Edwards did ahead of the movie and even though it's not an "official" trailer, it blows all the others away! THAT gives me goosebumps. I wish that movie had been made.

It took awhile, but I feel like, in many aspects, Minus One was the movie that the 2012 trailer was trying to sell us.

@GMan - I didn't want to say it. Of course, it took Toho to get it right. I was hoping we could do something along those lines. I do like the MonsterVerse, but Minus One, another level, from everything entirely. Saw it again yesterday. Had to see it once more on a big screen.
I’m seeing minus one a third time. Also don’t go to the crazy seats they just distract you.
