New IDW Godzilla series, \'Godzilla in Hell\'

Okay, ummmmmmm.............. Not sure what I think of this...

Saw this on Scifi Japan earlier.  Godzilla meets Dante's Inferno?!  James Stokoe and Bob Eggleton?!?!

I'm in.

I'm amazed that Toho gave the go-head for this. Normally they're not okay with taking risks with their IP. 

Not too long ago IDW had a big Lovecraftian crossover with all of their comics, like Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek, Transformers, and more. The finale was going to be Godzilla vs Cthulhu. Unfortunately Toho dropped out last minute because they're run by a bunch of old giddy duddies.

perhaps this is the substitute to godzilla vs the devil movie that never got made? im pretty happy this is in idws hands

And while I'm here, I'll second the hope that we will finally see a Godzilla vs The Devil battle royale!  Of course, such a film is nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor, and was never a planned project for a film, but its definitely part of fandom legend and its nice to see elements of it ressurected for a comic!
