In the end credits scene in KotM, there's a article titled 'Monarch Boosts Forces Around Skull Island' It says that, "De La Rosa went on to claim that Monarch was not only developing a 'Mechanized Giant' on Skull Island, but had already tried to create 'Organic Titans' in the past."

Well, the reason everyone wants Mechaghidorah is because of the Alan Jonah scene. Everyone wants Mechagodzilla because of that Monarch thing. He meant Mechaghidorah as in one of the other options people have, which are few based on the current evidence. The real only possibilities are Mechaghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Moguera, Gigan, Mechanikong, a new mech, regenerated Ghidorah, and a new hybrid with Ghidorah's DNA, the real only options being Mechaghidorah, Mechagodzilla, new mech, regenerated Ghidorah.
