An acquaintance of mine at Toho Kingdom, Patrick Galvan, wrote a really excellent article on Godzilla directors who weren't big fans or self-depreciating (in Jun Fukuda's case). In a time where everyone is hopes a selected director is a "fan" of any given material, especially after the damage Emmerich and Devlin inflicted in 1998, it's a nice change of pace to have Patrick write this excellent piece.
