Could Megalon be a cyborg?

Does Megalon have some kind of special structure in it's anatomy that allows it to spin it's 2 drill as 1 without causing injury? Or is it a Cyborg. Think about it. If Megalon was cybornetic, then it could combine the drills through, say, magnetism. It would also have somekind of spining mechanism that would allow it to use it's drills to their fullest potential without causing recoil. It make sense. How else could Megalon use it's drills as it did in the movie? I can't think of anything thing in biology that can do this.

Maybe he is a Biomechanoid, or a lifeform that is not based on carbon
Or maybe it's like the alien bio-suit from District 9, which requires alien DNA to launch its functions
