MemberBaragonNov-22-2014 3:28 PMHow’s it goin’, folks? :)
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and I figured there was no time like the present!
Many, if not most, of us Godzilla fans, myself included, are avid collectors of DVD’s, toys, posters, and other kaiju memorabilia. In this thread, I offer you all a place to share info and pictures of your latest purchases, whether they be a little trinket you found at a hobby shop, an awesome score from eBay, or a massive haul from a convention! Whatever you have just added to your collection, if its kaiju related, share it here!
I’m ALWAYS adding stuff to my collection, so you can count on me sharing my latest purchases here when I have the time to share, and I invite you all to do the same!
Let the bragging sharing commence! :D

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-12-2015 12:17 AMThanks for the compliment! The Banpresto figure is definitely a stellar figure and recommend getting it if you are a type of person that wants an X-plus-ish kind of figure, or a large cheap representation of Yuji Sakai's amazing work on the MireGoji design.
Also, thanks for telling me the price the figure was. Good thing you had that gift card!!
Perfect. Wish I can be there watching the youngsters reaction on the book.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-13-2015 6:05 PMI just recieved the Blu-Ray Godzilla vs. Destroyah & Godzilla vs. Megaguirus set in the mail!
Can't wait to watch them both! I haven't seen vs. Destroyah in 6 years!

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-13-2015 11:22 PMHoly cow is that a lot of years of not watching the film! I think I haven't seen Godzilla vs Destroyah in 3 years. It is definitely one of my favorite Godzilla films of all time!

Danzilla93
MemberBaragonJan-15-2015 7:05 AMNice, Danielle!!!! :D Although that Blu-ray kinda bugged me because of how weird it looks on my shelf without Godzilla 2000 in between those two films, its a great release (minus those friggin dubtitles...). :)
And you're welcome, G-fan2000! I'd love to track that maquette down one day!
On another note, I finally jumped on the Death Kappa Blu-ray/DVD set. I've heard nothing but horrible things about that movie, but not only was it 6 bucks on Amazon, its the only major kaiju film I didn't own... so I bit the bullet. :P
In addition, I have the Gamera: The Brave Blu-ray, Ultraman: The Next, the Random House books "Godzilla on Monster Island" and "Godzilla Returns", and a prize pack I won on the Kaijucast live show on the way to me!!!! I don't remember all of what is in there, but I do know I'm getting a Godzilla throw and a My First Godzilla plushie! :'D

Oh, I just ordered some more goodies! The Trendmasters Missile Launching Godzilla 1998 and the Tail Thrasher Baby Godzilla! I now have half of the Baby Godzillas from Trendmasters, and I finally have a 6"/7" scale Godzilla 1998!
And although this isn't Kaiju related, I preordered Shout! Factory's Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XXXII! The preorder perk? ITS SHIPPED TO ME A MONTH BEFORE ITS OFFICIALLY RELEASED!!!!!!!! :D
I'm still waiting for my books, Gamera: The Brave, my Kickstarter rewards, the Japanese Godzilla 2014 Blu-ray set, and a few other goodies. Oh, the suspense...

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-19-2015 2:20 PMI got more kaiju goodies. First off I got the X-plus 25 cm T-Rex 1933! Thanks to you, Danzilla, for getting me involved into this awesome looking figure.
On a side note, when I went to Walmart to grab a screwdriver, I bumped into a DVD box. I peaked around and saw King Kong vs Godzilla! I haven't watched this since I was 7 years old, so I decided to purchase it.

Danzilla93
MemberBaragonJan-19-2015 4:42 PMNice haul, dude!!!! Its a Kong haul! :D
You're welcome for the T-Rex recomendation! :) I have yet to unbox and assemble mine, but he sure does look good! And you will Love King Kong vs Godzilla! The english version is insane, hilarious fun, and the DVD is rediculously cheap! You'll enjoy seeing it again!
And I love Martin Luthor King Day as much as the next guy, but... AAAARRRRGGGG! NO MAIL!!!!!!!! The suspense for my goodies intensifies! 8O

MemberBaragonJan-19-2015 4:47 PMAnd speaking of suspense, Tamashii product magazine scans are due out in Japan any day now!!!! These scans reveal new figures that are to be released in the coming months, and its been three months since a MonsterArts figure was revealed. A drought was supposedly coming, and its definitely here (no figures between March and June), but I hope it ends this month with a reveal for July or August. The suspense is killing me!!!!

Just have a tissue ready for the third one... :'|

@Danzilla- Yeah, I'm super stoked to watch the third one, and the other two without that god awful dubbing! And also to see Mothra Leo in High Def.! :'D

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-20-2015 6:24 PM@Danzilla93; Oh yeah! I didn't even notice it was a Kong haul. Thats awesome. My next Kong figure is probably the Bandai 7/8 inch King Kong or Raymundo King Kong. The X-plus figure is awesome and has very smooth articulation points especially in the legs.
I think I have seen the English dub, but it has been a long time. I cannot wait to see it!
@BigBadBen and Daikaiju_Danielle; nice DVDs you guys got there. For me, the 2nd Rebirth of Mothra movie is probably my lest favorite one.

Daikaiju Danielle
MemberMothra LarvaeJan-20-2015 6:40 PM^ The second Rebirth of Mothra is very strange when it comes to the human storyline, but the monster scenes are absolutely stunning! I also really like the new monster, Dagahra. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-21-2015 5:35 PMYeah. Its kinda odd that they actually used kids as the main protagonists since they are normally in Showa movies, not Heisei films.

Danzilla93
MemberBaragonJan-21-2015 5:43 PM^ I grew up with Rebirth of Mothra II, so any strangeness affects me not. I just love it to death! :)
And BBB... your nephew is gonna flip his... thingie! WOW, what a Godzilla haul he's getting! Thats a great collection to start a fan out on!
And I've actually had both of those books for years now! :) My copy of Critical History is worn and beaten up like crazy... that thing was my Bible for years. XD I found Master of Monsters six or so year ago at Epcot, in Disney World believe it or not! I've read both books cover to cover a dozen times. XD They are incredible wonderful books!
G-Fan2000... of those Kongs, I'd recomend the Raymondo Kong! Its in the 6" scale, so it scales with Bandai and Y-MSF's Godzilla 1962, and its cheaper than Bandai's 8" Kong and the X-Plus Kong! But all three are pretty great! :)

MemberBaragonJan-21-2015 5:49 PMIn other news, I FINALLY got a few goodies in the mail! Yesterday, I recieved and watched Ultraman: The Next... and MY GOD, WAS IT AWESOME!!!! If anyone is interested, they can hear my thoughts on the film via my audio review that will be played on the next episode of the Kaijucast, which will be released at th end of the month!
And today, I got two books, Godzilla on Monster Island, and Godzilla Returns. The former, a picturebook, is to read to my kids at work. The latter, a full novel, is for me, myself, and I. ;)
The wait for the rest of my shtuff begins... :)

AdminGodzillaJan-21-2015 8:37 PMDanzilla,
Had no idea you had A) Yet to see Ultraman: The Next and B) was close enough to the Kaijucast to do that. That's awesome. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the film. It's fantastic.
If you want to see the sequel I recommend hunting down Ultraman Nexus.
