Anna Nakagawa 1965-2014

May you be in a better place! She was special in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, Emmy brought a special field of acting to the table that wasnt seen again in the series.

WAY WAY WAY too soon.  Does anyone know what happened?!

I can't believe she's gone.  Godzilla vs King Ghidorah was seminal in my childhood, and her face and performance have been part of me since I was very young.  Her character has always been one of my favorites in the entire series, and I always held out hope that I might meet her one day to tell her how much her role in that film meant to me.

Rest in peace, Anna-San.  You will be missed.  And please, tell Tanaka-San, Honda-San, Tsuburaya-San, and Ifukube-San we say hi. :')

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah is one hell of a mess of a movie, but it has such rich charm and amazing highs to it. It's better in parts than it is as a whole, but of those parts Nakagawa really shined through. I always thought this film had some of the strongest acting in the 90s movies and she is very much part of why. She had a strong career and some wonderful accolades. Indeed the future is restored.
