MemberAnguirusJul-01-2014 9:05 AMWhat would happen if every Godzilla faced every Godzilla one on one??? Need your opinions on this too
1. 1954 vs 2014, my opinion: LegendaryGoji
2. Burning vs 2004, my opinion: 50/50
Now, if every Godzilla was put in a kinda Battle Royal who do you think will win, in my opinionLegendaryGoji, FW Goji and Burning Goji and G2000 will be the last few standing. My money is 25/25/25/25. It could go anyway for me

AdminGodzillaJul-01-2014 10:18 AMI think people overrate 2014's powers and strength just because he's new. Burning and Final Wars Godzillas would annhilate him. Even the Heisei and 1999/2000 Godzillas had a very powerful nuclear pulse and there's been no confirmation that the new one has super regenerative powers.

MemberBaragonJul-01-2014 10:24 AM^That people seem to give him a lot of leeway because he's larger than the others, when if you pay attention showa, heisei and millenium godzilla all fought larger monsters on aa regular basis and still won. There was no monster heisei Godzilla fought except Rodan that wasn't bigger than him

The only reason I left LegendaryGoji in was because of his durability, intelligence and combat, otherwise he would be dispatched quickly by even normal 1995 Godzillaand I meant Burning Godzilla in a way that he is nearly at full power but he wont go into meltdown

AdminGodzillaJul-01-2014 11:58 AMBut there are plenty of Godzillas that have displayed far more intelligence than the Legendary Godzilla. Showa Godzilla had a monster conversation with Rodan and Mothra, shook Jet Jaguar's hand in congratulations and knew the humans had built a machine that could be activated by his atomic ray to burn out Hedorah.
He may be durable, but if he was hurt my MUTO's claws as easily as he was I think a nuclear pulse would rip through him.
GMK is another Godzilla I'd say would probably give him a run.

MemberAnguirusJul-01-2014 12:16 PMI believe Godzilla is one, and I am just using this as conparison, I think Heisei is a hit overpowered but hey, Godzilla is Godzilla, no matter what (unless he is a radiaoactive iguana) LOLO
And I am mainly using hand-to-hand combat as the weapon of offense, so yes, In my top 10 Godzillas, in power LegendaryGoji is 5, in design he is number tied 1 with 1954
My Godzilla power list:
1.Burning Godzilla
2. Final Wars
3. MireGoji (normal)
4.GMK
5. LegendaryGoji
6. 2000

We have no idea how strong the Mutos are compared to the other Toho monsters. Based on the Castle Bravo nuke, and various other strong nukes Godzilla was pelted with, hardly leaving a scratch on Godzilla but the Mutos managing to hurt him could just show how strong these creatures are.
As far as we know, the Mutos could be stronger than any other Toho monster and we have no way of knowing. We need more evidence, because the evidence we DO have so far says the Mutos have a strength much stronger than 15 megatons of pure nuclear force.

MemberBaragonJul-01-2014 12:29 PMDoes the movie ever say the actual castle bravo test? According to the wiki it is the castle bravo test, but anyone can edit that so I'm not putting too much on that. This isn't exactly our world there's a whole city named Janjira that exists. That and the fact the soldier points out the nuke they're using is much more powerful than the one's used on Godzilla in the 50s points to it not being the real nuke tests that were actually used and instead just fictional ones from the movie.

The intro shows a nuke detonated in 1954, in the Bikini Atolls, and even showed stock footage of the actual Castle Bravo nuke going off. It's the Castle Bravo nuke.
I have no idea what the film makers were thinking, because the Castle Bravo nuke WAS NOT in kilotons, it's 15 megatons. I think it's personally a massive flaw in the script writing process, cuz boy is that a flaw. Also does THIS look like a kiloton nuke to you?
I mean even if it was a kiloton nuke, it still makes no sense. Why would we personally waste kilotons of TNT power, realize it does nothing and then NOT go to megatons. In addition, when the nuke at the end of the film went off, it looked no different from the Castle Bravo nuke in the opening. And if a boat can get it that far away in 5 minutes, I doubt it was a powerful nuke to begin with.

MemberBaragonJul-01-2014 1:32 PMThe opening shows various nuclear explosions, I don't think that's solid evidence that it is in fact the castle bravo nuke. As I said, it could be a screen writing error, or simply a different nuke in that universe. Besides that saying Godzilla was unharmed is a bit of a stretch because unless I missed it the next time you see him is 60 years later giving him plenty of time to rest up and heal. Unless your theater showed a cut where you watched him rise out of the water right after the nuke, shake it off then go and disappear for absolutely no reason for 60 years then sure he's unharmed otherwise I think the behavior points to him sustaining at least a little damage.

MemberBaragonJul-01-2014 1:41 PMguys does it really matter? Take this into consideration lets say i am a superhero and yet the only thing that happens is i get some new abilities...Which means i am still the same character only with new abilities or even a few upgrades nothing else changes. :)

The tests in the Pacifics were in the span of months and weeks, not years; meaning the Castle Bravo nuke wasn't the only attempt to kill him, there were several other nukes and (although not as powerful as the Castle Bravo) were still in the megatons. So it's assumed after all that constant pelting, Godzilla was getting annoyed and stayed underwater until the Mutos reared their ugly faces. And one of the stock footage clips was of the actual Castle Bravo nuke explosion, and even if not, they were clearly in the megatons.
The film implied more that the nukes did jack, than "weakened" him. If they wanted a "fictional" nuke that's apparently in the kilotons, despite it's explosion looking full fledged megaton power, they wouldn't have gone through all the trouble making it clear it's the Castle Bravo nuke.
And, as the Awakening novel implies, Godzilla has been randomly waking up over the course of centuries, so him just randomly taking a 60 year break isn't that hard to believe. If the nukes did that much damage, he'd have obvious scars or would be a lot more hesitant to return to the surface.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-01-2014 7:51 PM*Facepalm* I can't believe anyone actually thinks that the nuke shown in the opening was Castle Bravo. If you actually pay attention to the scene, you'll notice that the nuke used looks nothing like the Bravo bomb(ir was 14 feet long, weighed 11 tons, and had the shape of a cylinder, not a traditional "bomb" shape), the mushroom cloud doesn't look like any H-bomb cloud I've seen, the explosion doesn't seem nearly as powerful as a megaton-level one would be, and there's actal bloody confirmation in the film that no megaton nukes were used on him! In fact, it's very hard to tell, but I think the scene might actually take place at the crater left by Catle Bravo, meaning it takes place after that test. I know you'll say that, logically, the military would've moved up to megaton nukes if kilotons failed, but 1.) They say in the scene where Godzilla is introduced that he disappeared after being nuked, 2.) The military in this film are morons, and 3.) Once again, they actually say that they didn't do that! People can come up with all the arguments they want, but it doesn't change the fact that not only does nothing in the film (I know it's the Castle Bravo test in the prequel comic, but that contradicts the film multiple times) say that megaton nukes were used on Godzilla, it specifically says that they weren't used.
None of that really matters, though, because, if you rewatch the original film, you may notice that being immune to nukes is not exactly new to Godzilla. There is nothing special about G2014's durability at all.
This whole argument has been:
As for the topic of the thread, this battle will really come down to just Burning and Final Wars Godzilla. FW may be much faster and stronger, but I think Burning's ridiculous regeneration and firepower (assuming he's close to meltdown) gives him the edge (unless FW is in his Super Saiyan Keizer mode).
