MemberMothra LarvaeJun-27-2014 9:55 PMTo celebrate Godzilla’s 60th anniversary, I’m pleased to announce a graphic novel in the making. To honour the very first 1954 movie, this work will star Godzilla only as well as an equally dark story to carry alongside it.

In 1954, a shocking revelation propelled the United States government to wage war against a creature which threatens the entirety of modern civilization. They have lost, and the monster disappeared from all contact since.
Sixty years later, seismic anomalies has been detected rippling through the Izu-Bonin-Mariana trenches, moving steadily up north, and soon to reach the Japanese islands.
If this creature enters the world stage, the repercussions would be immense. And the cataclysm that would unfold is unimaginable.

There are multiple reasons why I've been wanting to do this. Partly is because yes, even though I do love the new movie, I felt like it didn't exactly tributed to what the original was, but more like the entire series as a whole. The most part is for the fact that the movie hugely inspired me to really expand on everything it introduced on the table. Portray a darker tone, a more intricate story, a much more emotional plot and deeper characters.
I spent months writing this, and I cannot hold my excitement for it. The script for it surprises even me.
