MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 10:51 AM100% Godzilla vs Destoroyah, that is the sadest moment in the entire Godzilla saga. For God sake, he dies in that moment!!! The good thing is that, at the end, we can see Godzilla Jr not just alive, but with its "father" size and power thanks to the huge amount of radiation.
The final of 1985 don't impress me because at that time, I have allready saw Godzilla vs Biollante, so I allready knew that Godzilla will be only traped for a little time, that is all.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 10:52 AMGodzilla's screetch as he falls into the volcano is pretty pittiful sounding. But man, when he melts in GvsDR, that gets me. With the sad music and the attempt to revive Godzilla junior, and the military blasting away at him relentlessly as he is suffering....If you don't get at least a small tear in the corner of your eye, then you have no soul. I had to stop letting my son watch(although he love's the movie,) because he would burst into tears. That's even with me covering his eyes during the actual melting(which I thought was a bit much for a four year old.) Thankfully, he has just gotten to the point where he's fighting back the tears:-)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 12:56 PMI would have to say 1985 when Godzilla falls into the volcana. I was sad for a while after I first and still am every time I watch it.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 2:05 PMWhen I was a kid I watched the original for the first time, and didn't know Godzilla died at the end. Seeing his bones made me really upset, and my mom came in and asked "Whats wrong?!" I said "THEY KILLED GODZILLA!".

MemberBaragonMar-28-2014 2:29 PMI don't ever remember crying, but I'm sure Godzilla vs Destroyah had me closer to tears than any other movie in the series by a long shot.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 4:26 PMThe ending of Destoroyah, definitely. However, I knew that he comes back, and Godzilla never really dies.
The Godzilla movie that made me cry the most in the end was Godzilla 1998. The movie is cheesier than a Chicago pizza, but the monster was awesome and seeing it made me silently cry buckets. :(

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 4:57 PMI cried a little bit at the end of Godzilla 1985 but Godzilla vs Destroyah had me tearing up for about 15 minutes. It was really sad and I don't normally cry during movies. I watched Godzilla vs Destroyah not that long ago, maybe last week. Very sad.
