Been a couple months since anything has been posted. Has anything at all been said about the two classic g-movies being picked up? Hell at this point I'd settle for rumors. I know classic media isn't going to release whats left of their holdings (but this I don't mind, There boxed set is spectacular). I've been searching high and low for any news and have come up with zilch. All that comes up is the story of toho remastering the entire collection in 4k.

Am I to understand that the Destroy All Monsters BD does not have chapter stops?

I've been vigilant about it as well and so far nothing has cropped up about Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla and Son of Godzilla getting DVD re-releases/Blu-ray releases. Either the rumors about them early last year fell through or were just rumors... I really hope someone picks them up soon.

I'm pretty sure the 2011 version does. I haven't researched the 2014 re-release enough to know whether or not it has chapter stops. I'll look into this more.

My 2014 media blasters version has them, 11 chapters. Just put it in now to check for you.

Seems like you're good to go with the 2014 Blu-Ray disc, Jamaal. It's simply the 2011 version without all the bells and whistles.

Unfortunately no. Other than the international dub and Japanese language track, the 2014 version of DAM is completely barebones. You can try hunting down the 2011 version, but even if you find it the price won't be favorable, to say the very least.

Yes. And a great, great deal more.

^Yep, they produced that version too.  They ran into legal trouble and so, after the film was re-released, the special features were removed.  The 2011 version can be found (eBay, Amazon, etc.), but both the DVD and the Blu-ray will cost you anywhere between $50 to $100... on a GOOD day.  Its easy to find of you look for it, but affording it is another story.

If you decide that's the way you want to go, I wish you luck on your hunt! :)

On second thought, maybe enjoying the film in its purity, without any frills, is the way to go. ;)
