I know when I rewatched the other 3 in prep for it though KotM really was hard to get through certain points in the story and millie Bobby brown in both movies was basically completely pointless to me and seemed to just be pushed into KOTM for the marquee value she had at the time.
Overall I would say most the mosterverse falls somewhere in the middle of the godzilla series overall for me. Tentative ranking would be
Kong Skull island
Godzilla vs Kong
Godzilla KOTM
Godzilla 2014
Though G14 and KOTM can probably switch depending on the day I just had slightly more fun with KOTM upon my rewatch than G14.
