Godzilla Wars: Aftermath- Chapter 17

     Still mourning the loss of his former ally, Godzilla winces as a sharp pain hits his neck. Looking up, he sees Megaguirus staring back at him! Roaring, Godzilla bites Megaguirus’s tail as she prepares to sting him. The King of the Monsters tosses her to Fire Rodan, who grips her in his powerful talons.

     As Fire Rodan fires his Uranium Heat Beam, a swarm of Meganula begins to attack him. Screeching in pain, Fire Rodan lets go of Megaguirus, who immediately darts towards Godzilla and stings him. Wincing, Godzilla can almost feel the energy being taken from him. As Megaguirus takes her stinger out, Godzilla slowly charges up his Atomic Breath. He fires, but Megaguirus darts away too quickly. The blast ends up taking down a pair of Meganula.

     Firing his Prism Beam, Battra takes down a few Meganula. However, they eventually begin to overpower him. Soon, Mothra appears and helps fight off the Meganula off as a few Kamacuras show up. The group quickly overpowers the Meganula, and eliminates most of them. Mothra helps get Battra to safety as the Kamacuras group fends off a few rapidly-approaching Meganula.

     Mothra takes Battra to Anguirus as Megaguirus darts in. She stabs Mothra with her pinchers, forcing her away from Battra. She grabs on to him and stings him, slowly draining his energy. However, Fire Rodan swoops in and divebombs her. Screeching in pain, Megaguirus flails her pinchers at him. Fire Rodan flies in circles around her, sometimes firing short blasts of his Uranium Heat Beam. Eventually, Megaguirus darts out of the circle and a few Meganula attack Fire Rodan.

     Darting back to Godzilla, Megaguirus stings the top of his head. Wincing in pain, Godzilla looks up as Megaguirus prepares to fire something. However, Anguirus, curled into a spiky ball, immediately hits Megaguirus. Heavily wounded, she orders all the remaining Meganula and a few more to form a gargantuan swarm on the two. As Megaguirus escapes, the Meganula attack Godzilla and Anguirus from every direction like a swarm of bees. Wincing in pain, the two blindly bite and swat in every direction as the swarm engulfs them.

     Eventually, Anguirus can’t take any more attacks and curls back into a ball to defend himself. However, Godzilla whips Anguirus with his tail, and the spiky ball flies right through the swarm. Coming out on the other side, Anguirus unrolls himself. Watching Godzilla fight the swarm, he sees a pair of Kamacuras begin to fly in.

     About a third of the Meganula break away from the swarm as the Kamacuras pair approaches them. A few attack, but the rest fly off to Megaguirus. The Kamacuras quickly eliminate the Meganula attacking them with little injuries. However, they instinctively leave the scene as Godzilla charges his Atomic Breath.

    Godzilla fires his Atomic Breath in every direction. Eventually, he eliminates the swarm. The island is silent for a moment, but then Megaguirus darts in and stings Godzilla again. Using the last bit of energy in him, Godzilla fires his Atomic Breath, which burns off Megaguirus’s stinger. Turning around, Megaguirus uses most of her energy to fire a gigantic fireball at the King of the Monsters.

     Wincing in pain, Godzilla grabs the weakened insect from the air by her tail. He swings her around a bit before tossing her in the air. Panting, Godzilla watches as the Kamacuras tear Megaguirus apart. Looking into the distance, Godzilla is almost too tired to notice Gigan being lowered into the battle…
