Lets begin with the Rodan.
He can fly at mach 5 and can create super sonic wind blasts that can tear down buildngs!
Rodans durabillity is highly questionable, he was defeated by being knocked out of the sky from a rolling flying Anguirus!
Rodan we will say has the same abillities as his first form.
Rodan will use his beak to peck and bite and eat creatures!
Rodans super sonic flight and speed in air allows him to travel from, Mount fuji, to tokyo in 1 hour!
Rodan's durabillity is questionable as he was nearly killed by falling in a lava pit in the original!
And he also was injured by a jet fighter!
Rodan also was injured to a point where he couldnt use his super sonic abillity!
On to the Moth of legend.
Mothra in her Larval form can spray concentrated silk at her opponents! Although the Silk does little to no damage.
Mothra uses the silk to incase Godzilla!
Mothra is a very fast swimmer in her larval form! Swimming from Infant island off the coast of Japan!
all the way to tokyo in 5 hours!
Mothra can use her wings to create gales that will not only destroy buildings! But will actually stop and knock back the King!
Mothra can also use her claws and feet to drag, pull, and smash opponents!
Mothra will use the bulk of her body to smash into her opponents!
Mothra on her deathbed will release a attack that will inevitably kill her.
Mothra will release her scale that allows her to fly, this attack will kill her inevitably by taking away her flight.
Mothra uses these scales to poison her opponents and aspyixiate them, stopping there breath and making them leave the city.

If at full health, I believe in one way or another she could overpower and/or outlast Rodan. Poison the air in the field of battle, let Rodan breathe deep, and wear him down.

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-17-2015 7:41 PMI want to say Rodan because he just looks awesome but in the end I think Mothra would prevail. Mothra went toe-to-toe with Godzilla before she got blasted by G's atomic blast. Rodan has speed and power but no atomic blast or similar power to finish off Mothra. Mothra has just enough in her arsenal to stop Rodan.
By the way, the pic of Mothra on that giant egg is hilarious. Brings up a lot of questions about what the producers were thinking when they came up with this.

MemberBaragonFeb-17-2015 7:55 PMAre we taking the incarnations of those monsters or those monsters in just those particular movies? Mothra was already dying in Mothra vs Godzilla, so pretty sure Rodan would obviously win. The only attack Mothra has is her scales and Rodan can easily fly away or shoot his(her) stream of wind out of his(her) mouth and that attack is useless.
This is basically just a matchup of 2 flying monsters and since Rodan is faster but a huge margin (s)he would eventually come out on top since Mothra really has nothing to stop him(her) of slow him(her) down.
