MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2015 7:06 PMI know most of you guys are already laughing but I'm being serious! Bandai has the rights to make Gamera figures and I'm sure they can work a deal out and Gamera is getting a sh monster arts figure so what you guys think?

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2015 7:28 PMIt might be possible, but I doubt it. THey already that if they do a sequel it would be Bagan, they would have. I don't think they would have them both. It would be too much money.

MemberBaragonJan-05-2015 7:46 PMI don't really think getting Bagan, a monster that never even made it to movies, would cost that much money.

AdminGodzillaJan-05-2015 7:57 PMNot to mention it would have to be approved by both Toho and Daiei. Just because a single company has the rights to a property from two different companies doesn't mean they can be mashed together by the party that negotiated for them. All three sides have to be interested and agree on it.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2015 9:01 PMThere's certainly a much greater chance of Gamera getting into a sequel to this game than there was of him getting into Godzilla Unleashed, since Pipeworks couldn't even acquire the rights. Now, as Gman said, there would have to be mutual agreement between Toho and Kadokawa for Gamera to appear in the game, and that will be the determining factor. As far as Bandai Namco is concerned, a Godzilla and Gamera crossover game would be a brilliant business decision, especially for the fan market that Bandai Namco is targeting. I'd love to see it happen, but it all comes down to the legal aspect and what Toho and Daiei/Kadokawa decide to do.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2015 9:22 PMi tougth daei had gone bankrupt and sold the gamera rigths to another company, that's why a director aproached toho for gamera vs godzilla in 2005

MemberBaragonJan-06-2015 8:25 AM^Nope. Daiei was aquired by Kadokawa Publishing, and the two merged into Kadokawa Pictures, who produced Gamera: The Brave in 2005. They would have to approve Gamera's use in a Godzilla game.

MemberBaragonJan-06-2015 1:28 PMGamera is the one who the fans want to fight godzilla. It's like a dream match up between undertaker and sting that never happened. At this point though, i think gamera is like that of bagan. What i mean is, i seriously doubt it will happen.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-06-2015 2:18 PMNah. Gamera has no chance of showing anywhere on Godzilla-related media or merchandise.
It would be cool, though.

The King of the Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeJan-06-2015 2:25 PMI wouldn't say Gamera has no chance to appear in Godzilla-related media. In fact, I think it's something that is bound to happen someday in some form. Bandai Namco I'm sure would be interested to include Gamera in a game, and reportedly Kadokawa was even interested in a Godzilla vs. Gamera film at one point. If the two companies can ever put their differences aside, then I have no doubt a crossover of some sort will happen. Heck, Toho was even willing to distribute Gamera films in the past.
I'm not betting that Gamera will show up in the next Godzilla game or anything, but I don't think it's impossible. Toho and Kadokawa both know fans want a Godzilla and Gamera crossover, and there's no doubt it would be a profitable venture for both companies. I think it's impossible for it not to happen at some point in the future.
