MemberBaragonNov-22-2014 3:28 PMHow’s it goin’, folks? :)
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and I figured there was no time like the present!
Many, if not most, of us Godzilla fans, myself included, are avid collectors of DVD’s, toys, posters, and other kaiju memorabilia. In this thread, I offer you all a place to share info and pictures of your latest purchases, whether they be a little trinket you found at a hobby shop, an awesome score from eBay, or a massive haul from a convention! Whatever you have just added to your collection, if its kaiju related, share it here!
I’m ALWAYS adding stuff to my collection, so you can count on me sharing my latest purchases here when I have the time to share, and I invite you all to do the same!
Let the bragging sharing commence! :D

@Danzilla93, THAT IS PURE AWESOMENESS!!!! How much did it cost you?
@Sci-fi King25, Great purchases! Wish I had that SHMA Destroyah figure. It looks really awesome!
G-Fan2000:
The cost in general? $99.95. The cost to me? BUPKIS, BABY!!!!!!!! I had a $100 Amazon gift card from a while ago, so I used that! >:)
And yeah... Destoroyah is a wonderful figure! I've had him for almost two years, and although he's unfortunately spent most of that time in his box, he is a stunning masterpiece with great paint, a super detailed sculpt, and amazing articulation! He's almost out of print, so I reccomend him to anyone who can afford him!

^YEP! >:D
In other news, I FINALLY figures out what the hell happened to my Gamera: The Brave Blu-ray… turns out the bastard was delivered on January 20th… to the wrong house… in the wrong city.
REALLY?!?! I mean, REALLY?!?!?!?! -_-
The shipping information JUST updated me with the info, so I contacted the seller and HOPEFULLY… he’ll contact the (probably very confused) people that got my Blu-ray and see if it can be sent to me. I don’t know if that’s even possible, but that disk is too damn rare to loose for under 40 bucks new… especially when its usually 80 bucks used.
In addition, my basement flooded a few days ago, and ruined a butt-load of stuff. Thankfully, the parts of my collection that I had stored down there were ALL in plastic totes, so I lost nothing! But there are a lot of pictures and memories that are trashed now. I ventured to Toys R Us to see if there was anything there to cheer me up, and… whaddya know, my kaiju pals came through for me in my time of need, and I found a beautiful NECA Romeo Blue there. Yesterday, I got Anchorage Attack Gipsy Danger in the mail to keep Romeo company, along with the Diamond Select Toys Mechagodzilla Bottle Opener for good measure!
Hopefully the Gamera debacle will be cleared up in a few weeks, one way or another, and I’ll finally get a few other goodies, like my various Kaiju-related Kickstarter rewards, the Japanese Blu-ray of Godzilla 2014, and a few books and DVD’s I have coming my way. After that, I’m on austerity for a possible G-TOUR this summer!!!!

Well, the Gamera debacle has indeed been cleared up... and its not good. Someone out there got a free Blu-ray of Gamera: The Brave mint... and that someone isnt me. -_-
I did get my refund a few hours ago, and I'm considering calling the post office to see if they can help me find out where the thing was sent, but chances are it was stolen from the post office when they found the destination the package was SUPPOSED to go to didn't exist in their city. The seller told me they's let me know if the package was shipped back to them as a retuen, or if they got anymore in stock, but as for right now, my search for the film on Blu-ray continues. I have the DVD, but REALLY wanted the BD so I could have the entire Gamera series on Bu-ray. One day, I hope...

I got this picturebook to both add to my Random House Godzilla collection and to read to my school age friends at work:
And this for me:
I know, I know, its not Godzilla or kaiju-related... but it is chock full of monsters and aliens, and was the chief inspiration for Tsuburaya's Ultra Q! And... I love it!

I purchased a SUper Premium Godzilla 1994. I was a bit upset when it arrived with some damage, but I am good fixing things and it´s nothing that some glue and putty can´t repair.
I also got a lot which including Godzillasaurus, Battra Larva, Great monster series Mothra Larva reissue, 6 inches Gigan, 6 inches Red King and Banpresto Gomora. I got the lot mainly for the first three, because I am not big fan of Ultra Monsters; but Gomora looks good though, and a deal about $80 bucks incluiding shipping was a good deal for me.
If you are looking for some items, I have the hunt, sale and trade thread with some merchadise I offer about Godzilla, Gamera, Harryhausen and even Universal Monsters. If you have info about some figures, I am looking for a decent Jirass and about a rc Mechagodzilla. It will be appreciated.
Wow. Awesome! Sorry for the loss of those precious memories and photos. That was an epic fail for those delivery companies! That Outer Limits book looks very interesting. My guess is that it contains some Ultraman stuff as well. Hey, are you planning to get the recently released SHMA Gamera 1996?
@Gojira19
The......the....the.....SUPER PREMIUM GODZILLA??!! That is EPIC!! How much did it cost? Those are some very nice purchases especially the Banpresto Gomora.
^Unfortunatly, no Ultraman stuff in the Outer Limits book. In fact, as awesome as it is (it is STUFFED with photos!), I'm shocked by how harsh it is on the episodes! They are super critical of much of the show's writing and other aspects... and this is supposedly written by fans! :/ Its almost like they are making up stuff just to insult the episodes. Very bizarre, but its still a good book, and its about one of the greatest shows ever made!
And HECK YEAH I'm getting Gamera! I have all of the MonsterArts figures, and I've been excited for Gamera for upwards of five months! He's all I asked for for my birthday (which is in ten days!), so I'm sure I'm getting him! Unfortunately, there is a dock strike on the west cost that is delaying all kinds of stuff, and Tamashii products are some of them. Lets hope its resolved by my birthday!
Speaking of birthdays, in order to get my Amazon order containing my mom's present (her birthday is five days before mine!) to a $35 "Free Shipping" status, I added the Egg Series Godzilla 2014 and Destoroyah to the order! I love those little guys! I'm just missing Godzilla 1995, Burning Godzilla, and King Ghidorah now!
And for those who didn't see, the Egg toys are officially being localized to the U.S. and released here by Bandai America! You'll be able to get them in Toys R Us' now!!!! Check out the info in the ToyFair thread! :)

Oh, okay. That alien thing kind of looked similar to a Ultraman alien.
Awesome! I might get my Gamera, but I don't have the money; I will probably get it on my birthday as well (which is in 4 MONTHS!) which kinda sucks that I have to wait that long.
That sucks that there was a dock strike. That will be a miracle if it got resolved a little or if not on your birthday.
Oh yeah, heard that the "Egg Series" is coming out now. The Godzilla surprisingly looks pretty good to me!
^Yeah, I'm very excited about Bandai importing those Eggs, and the new 12 inch Godzilla 2014 looks awesome! But... WHERE ARE THE FRICKIN' MUTOS?!?!?!?! -_-
The alien on the cover of the book is actually not an alien... its a person! :O He's a test subject from one of the show's greatest episodes, The Sixth Finger, in which a scientist invents a machine that evolves lifeforms into what they will look like thousands, or millions, of years into the future. The dude on the cover was his first human subject, a mild mannered man of average intelect who, after being put into the machine, begins to evolve physically and mentaly. His head gets bigger, he absorbes information from books at an insane rate, and he begins to grow a sixh finger on each hand. By the time he looks like he does on the cover, he's become disgusted by modern, unevolved humans and their primative ways. Its a fantastic story.
I hightly recomend the series!

I just purchased a six-inch Trendmasters Zilla figure and an 11x17 poster for the original Godzilla on eBay. I'm also currently bidding on a 6'' Bandai Japan Godzilla Junior figure and the 6'' Trendmasters Biollante with sound. I really hope I get them.

^Good luck on those figures, man! I hope you get them!
Yesterday, I got two goodies... First, I got the nearly 400 page King Kong: History of a Movie Icon book. Man... this thing is incredible! Ic coveres everything from the life stories of the men Kong's creators Merian Cooper, Ernest Shoedsack, and Willis O'Brien, to Kong films that were never made! There's even a section on rip-offs, includig the Chinese Kaiju film The Mighty Peking Man! The books is slightly slanted AGAINST the Toho Kong films, but does cover them in great detail, giving them the same exposure as the five Kong films made here in the U.S. It even briefly discusses the two lost Japanese Kong films from the 1930's... two man-in-suit monster films that predate the original Godzilla by (in the case of the first of the two) by 21 years. Its mostly stuff I've known for years, but its a facninating book!
Secondly, I found a copy if a SERIOUSLY obscure Chinese Kaiju film called Thunder of Gigantic Serpent. THe English version is called Terror Serpent, and although it looks cheesy as all get out, I know I'm gonna love it! Its about a giant snake... what's NOT awesome about that?!
In addition, I have the majority of the things I've had ordered for a long time (in some cases, close to a year) coming to my house next week and the week after! Next week is my birthday as well, so expect a report of any kaiju stuff I may get one week from today!

Oh, and one more thing...
After waiting for nearly a year, surviving numerous delays, and even besting the west coast union strike that is delaying shipments all across the country, today saw the official release of... her.
SHE. IS. MINE.
>B)

I had a nice day of pakage opening today! First, USPS delivered my Destoroyah Egg, which is now my favorite Egg toy of the series! Then (and I'm mentioning it because I'm INSANELY excited about it, even though its not Godzilla related), FedEx delivered the Batman: The Complete Series Limited Edition Blu-ray to my door!!!! I waited and waited for a deal on this thing, as there was NO WAY IN HELL I was paying 270 bucks for this thing. But thanks to an Amazon 50%-off sale, and a $100 gift card I had gathering dust, I payed a Bat-tacular 35 BUCKS OUT OF POCKET FOR IT!!!!!!!! :D Just... let the awesomeness of THAT sink in... Yeah. I'm psyched. B)
My Godzilla 2014 Egg should be here Monday, and Otachi soon after! The next week and teh wek after should see my Godzilla 2014 Japanese Deluxe Blu-ray, and my Kickstarter rewards delivered at last! I'm excited!!!!

MY FIRST SET OF KICKSTARTER REWARDS CAME TODAY!!!!!!!! :D This set of perks is from the Hail to the King: 60 Years of Destruction documentary that will be released shortly, focusing on Japan's celebration of Godzilla's 60th aniversary! At the backing level I selected, I got some good intangable goodies (including my name in the credits!!!!), plus three awesome things that just came in the mail! First, I got a poster designed by Matt Frank depicting ALL the Godzillas together! I also got a Chirashi (flyer) straight from the Godzilla Exhibition that was filmed in the documentary! Most awesomely, though, I got an exclusively created hardcover photobook created just formy backing level!!!! The book is full of professionally taken photos of many of the props in the exhibit! Seriously... stuff like the original suits from GMK and Final Wars, Kiryu, Godzilla Junior... plus Gigan 1972's buzzsaw, the Oxygen Destroyer, Serizawa's diving helmate, original scripts... my God, its glorious. I highly recommend watching the film when it is released, it is going to be awesome!
Tomorrow's my birthday, and I'm expecting some awesome Kaiju stuff to be coming my way! I know my Godzilla Blu-ray and SHMA exclusive is coming tomorrow, and who knows what else the day may bring! :D

The Kaiju I like the most in Pacific Rim is Otachi, because she looks like a regular dragon type monster, with Destoroyah tail!!! I skipped it because I had to pay the already mentioned purchases, but ever since it is mentioned about a Otachi with extended wings in the Toy fair thread I prefer to wait until that figures comes out. Otachi will get a better look with the extended wings.
^And the awesome thing is, the wings/arms, toungues, and tails will be interchangable! A few more details on the Winged Otachi just came out, and we now know it will have translucent wings, stumpy tail (after Gisy smashes it off), and a ripped out removable toungue, plus a flight stand and some sort of aparatus to replicate Otachi carrying away whatever Jaeger you choose!!!! This thing is gonna be AWESOME!
Since I'm here, I'll share the INSANE week I've had of stuff coming in the mail... a six day streak (not counting last Sunday) I'm calling... A-PACKAGE-LYPSE!!!!
Last Saturday, I got the Egg Series Destoroyah, Monday, I got the Egg Godzilla 2014 and the first part of my Kickstarter rewards for backing the Hail to the King documentary! Tuesday was the remainder of my rewards, and Wednesday was Otachi!!!! Thursday was perhaps the most crazy day... I got the Godzilla 2014 Deluxe Edition Blu-ray set, MST3K: Volume XXXII from Shout! Factory, and the latest issue of G-FAN! And last but not least, on Friday, I got the third volume of the original Outer Limits series! WHEW!!!!
Plus, my birthday was Wednesday as well, and I ate cake on Godzilla plates! Plus I had a kaiju birthday card and a Godzilla baloon too! THe coolest thing I got was a vintage 1963 marketing pamphlet for the U.S. release of King Kong vs Godzilla!!!! Its super old and falling apart, but MY GOD... IS IT COOL!!!!!!!! Its full of poster order forms, news paper reviews, and great images! Its now officially one f the coolest Godzilla collectables I have!
A-package-lypse came to an end yesterday, and next week should see the rest of my orders and Pre-orders coming in! After that, my money will most likely be exclusively saved for G-FEST and a possible G-TOUR! Lets hope can make it!!!!
