MemberMothra LarvaeNov-10-2014 1:06 PMI was introduced to godzilla by movies, but to most of all the godzilla monsters, I was introduced to them by in the video games.
which I am very glad because If I saw the other godzilla monsters in the films with there out dated suitmation I would have taken them seriously or worse would have builed any interest.
but gladly I was introduced by the monsters in the game, Godzilla Melee.
Which all the classic monsters were all modernized playing the game as a kid I was pretty damn scared of em, and was also scared of putting Godzilla up againts theme didnt want to see the big G get butchered by them.
Megalons face looked scary as ***k and for gigan when I looked at his claws I honestly got the impression that they were tenticles, and when I started playing as him I realized they are claws and that made him even more scary.
if I first experienced theme in the movies (gigan and Megalon) I would have laughed at them instead cuz they looked pretty goofy at time especially Megalon who kept jumping around like hes drunk.
these were my experience that I had with all the godzilla monsters, or most since not all of em have been in a Godzilla atari game.

MemberBaragonNov-10-2014 1:50 PMOh good god, well lets see....I remember being 3 years old watching cable tv with my parents. Dad was flipping through the channels and got on to TNT which was channel 15 back in the early 90's. Then there it was, godzilla vs megalon. I watched it and fell in love with this franchise. I finally got a super nintendo at the age of 6 and the first game i got was super godzilla. From there it just took off. I have been a fan of this franchise for over 20 years now. Gosh, i wish i were a kid again.

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-10-2014 6:27 PMI can remember seeing Godzilla vs. The Thing (a.k.a. Mothra vs. Godzilla) at a theater in downtown Los Angeles in the 1960’s. I must have about ten or eleven years old. My family and I went to a drive-in theater in Gardena, California where we saw King Kong vs. Godzilla. GvsTT was shown at one of those big, palatial theaters with the huge balconies and the gargoyles looking at you everywhere you went.

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-10-2014 7:18 PMA few of the monsters I first saw in movies, (like King Ghidorah from the Heisei, I fell in love with him, also Destroyah, MechaGodzilla, and the others). But many of the Showa monsters I first met through video games. Megalon, Gigan, and Anguirus I had heard about, but never expirienced until DAM: Melee.

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-11-2014 10:00 AMI had seen all of the monsters in a film at least once before I even knew of the Godzilla video games. When I found out about those games I thought it was too good to be true.
