A module is a portable section of layout that can be hooked up with other modules to creatue a full complete cirut layout. These are usally used in model train shows. N Scale is 1/144 in size. Basically you can hold a locomotive or railcar in your hand. So for my module, I wanted it to be Godzilla themed.
Yes, you read that right. A Godzilla Themed Portable Layout. I also have a Polar Lights 16" tall Godzilla model kit. Do you see where I'm going with this yet? Well here's what I made...

As you can see, this is the end result. You may have also seen that the Neca 2014 Godzilla can be swapped out. This moduel has flickering lights near his feet to represent raging fires, and a bluetooth portable mini speaker to provide sound and music (Convenetly hidden by the way). Some of the reaction were priceless. I had little kids come running up and saying "Look! It's Godzilla!" Then the growl came. The would a look on their face that said "What was that?" Then Big G would let out a big mighty roar. I've made a couble of people jump because they weren't expecting it. Also depending on my mood, I would bust out Godzilla's Theme or "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult. Even other clubs thought that this moduel was great.
This module made its debute appearence at the Dayton Train Show this past weekend (Nov. 1&2) at Hera Arena in Dayton, OH. The next showing will at the Great Train Expo also at Hera Arena on February 20-22. If you like, come see this module in action. You won't be dissapointed.
P.S. the little cake was for this show. It won't be on there in February. This is also evolving moduel. New stuff will appear on it. Model Trains is an expensive hobby, but the reactions are just priceless.
