MemberGiganNov-01-2014 1:49 PMIts Debate Week Day 10! The Battle of Gods, ultimate Apex alpha predator's of there realm!
Godzilla and Gamera!
Lets Begin with the ultimate king of the Monsters, Godzilla!
Godzilla 91 is a incredibly powerful foe, born from the ashes of Godzilla 84. Godzilla 91 is 100 metres 328 feet and is a powerhouse, stepping up to King Ghidorah who would have killed him.
Godzilla 91 retains all of the original's abillities except one additional one, he has a brand new attack a Nuclear Pulse! The Pulse blasted King Ghidorah away from him and nearly killed him.
Godzilla 91 is incredibly durabil, he was able to outlast King Ghidorah and Mecha King Ghidorah the stronger of the two, did i not mention he killed both of those foes with reletive ease?
Godzilla 91's strength is immense, he lifted King Ghidorah a 150 meter 400,000 pound (That may be wrong) into the air and slammed him around.
Godzilla 91 is a incredible foe, bring out Gamera.
Gamera 99 retains all of his previous strengths except 2 additions. He now has a Fireball Ejection attack which was not the suicide but was powerful enough to nearly murder Irys.
Gamera's most famous attack the Fireball Ejection Suicide, Gamera overloads his Mana furnace and explodes nearly murdering himself but also murdering Gyaos.
For Gamera's full list of moves please visit Gamera's Page on Wikizilla.
This has been Debate Week Season 4 day 10! Sorry for the late release didnt realize Gamera 3 the film was so epic, i rewatched some chapters before writing.
Good grief.

MemberTitanosaurusNov-01-2014 2:05 PMNow, this is quite the battle. This Godzilla, though larger and physically stronger, is also a lot slower and not as powerful as later on. Gamera's speed advantage on btoh land and in the air, coupled with his powerful plasma attacks, could potentially end the King's reign early if he keeps the pressure on.
However, this Godzilla is more than capable of taking down Gamera. Really, it's up to who can keep track of who better, and it's a toss-up who wins.

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-01-2014 2:38 PMId say Gamera wins, it would be able to over power godzilla in close and range combat

MemberBaragonNov-01-2014 2:52 PMIf godzilla could handle Rodan he could easily deal with Gamera's speed, and since he's bigger and stronger with better ranged attacks and insane healing, he wins. The only chance Gamera has is his mana blast and that has a charge up time

MemberTitanosaurusNov-01-2014 3:14 PMAh, but Gamera is bulkier than Rodan, and his flight is less predictable when he starts doing his spinning jet saw. Also, this Godzilla's healing is about on par with Gamera's here, and his ranged attack isn't very good at target tracking.
In melee, Gamera is faster and more tenacious, thus he could keep Godzilla off balance, and his plasma bursts are extremely powerful in a concentrated time frame, thus unless Godzilla maintains a constant stream on Gamera's underside he won't be able to do as much ranged damage as Gamera and his ability to rapid-fire plasma bursts.
Now, if this were a late and more advanced Heisei Godzilla, the battle would play out differently, but as it stands, this Godzilla isn't quite as experienced or efficient as his later stages, and could lose to Gamera.

MemberBaragonNov-01-2014 3:32 PMGodzilla's healing on par with Gamera? Godzilla got skewered through the hand and various other parts of his body during the fight with biollante that healed almost immediately Gamera needed hours to days to heal from an attack from the military in earlier installments. To say their healing factors are even close is either putting a lot of faith in Gamera or severely underrating just how ridiculously overpowered Heisei Godzilla's healing is.
The argument that Gamera is more random is is flying is another pretty baseless statement. Far more tenacious? Godzilla in heisei always had to battle larger enemies than himself and had the sheer strength to lift up monsters many times Gamera's weight with ease and toss them aside. I doubt Gamera's plasma bursts rival the onslaught of beam weapons heisei Godzilla's gone up against from the basic military mazers to Ghidorah's gravity beams and mechagodzilla's plasma grenade. The very idea that the Gamera who was injured by the military could take heisei's atomic breath is pretty far fetched.
The boost Godzilla got in 91 was the only thing he got until late Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II. Meaning he took out Ghidorah, Biollante, Rodan, Mechagodzilla 2 in the first fight and forced the combined force of mothra and Battra to drive him back killing Battra in the process. This Godzilla was extremely strong even before the spiral ray.
Since Godzilla is physically stronger than Gamera along with Bigger and much heavier if Gamera ever tried to engage in Melee combat he's signed his death warrant. His best bet his fly around and attempt to dodge the atomic breath while hurling plasma shots at him. Only problem is that the insane rate of healing from Heisei Godzilla means that these wouldn't be that effective so unless he managed to simply tire out heisei Godzilla, something that's never been done he has no chance.

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-01-2014 4:32 PMAm gonna say godzilla for this one
for one his durabillity is far more stroger than gameras, gameras skin was already periced by iris in his first fight, godzillas wasnt.
and yes, gamera is faster, but when he gets close he screwed, godzillas sheer size and nucler pulse whould kill gamera, gameras only chance is to stay back at long range, but even then, the atomic breath could take him out to, as we have seen that this godzilla like to blast the heck out of everything

MemberGiganNov-02-2014 10:35 AMGodzila would win. He fought Biollante, and King Ghidorah. With his size, power, and durability, he can overcome Gamera, but not without a fight.
