MemberMothra LarvaeOct-31-2014 12:42 AMWhy did Godzilla pass out after fighting against the Mutos? In the old movies, Godzilla always standing up even he fight against two monsters.

AdminGodzillaOct-31-2014 12:57 AMI think the point being made by the crew members of the film is that this Godzilla is very, very old and tires quite easily. Just a small attribute that adds a little character to him. I like it honestly.

MemberTitanosaurusOct-31-2014 3:47 AMYeah, I mean even I would be exhausted after fighting two monsters that were clobbering me at one point.

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-31-2014 5:57 AMWouldn't you be tired if you were several million years old and had to fight for your life? I know I would. Also Godzilla was hit with a skyscraper earlier. Kinda hard to stay concious when that happens. Thank God for that bomb.

MemberGiganOct-31-2014 7:12 AMGman- That is a good point but think about this, Godzilla swam from near center of the earth swam for who know how long to Hawaii fought the male, then swam again to San fransisco took on both creatures who were in a blood lust against him and destroyed both of them with tactical thinking.
Then took a nap like all Godzilla's do, and the original Godzilla's never fell asleep after there battles is one, Toho wasnt thinking realisticly, and 2 He wasnt fighting two creatures that would take all your energy.
You saw how tired he was after fighting Battra and Mothra, they nearly killed him atleast 2014 stayed strong for most the fight.
Godzilla got carried into the sky by 2 very alive no where near death creatures while he was incapacitated.
Good grief.

MemberBaragonOct-31-2014 7:52 AMThis Godzilla is doesn't seem to have the stamina past incarnations did, hence he couldn't handle the stress from the fight.

GG
MemberGiganOct-31-2014 7:58 AMDURPOO in my opinion he has the more stamina then alot of incarnations, as explained in my commen he swam from the center of the earth to multiple places pretty far away didnt take a break and then was the victim of a tag team that he tactically destroyed.
Good grief.

MemberBaragonOct-31-2014 8:47 AMEvery Godzilla has swam a long distance into a fight without collapsing halfway through and at the end of it even when getting double teamed.

MemberBaragonOct-31-2014 10:26 AMNot a fan of siesta time for the Big G. Keeps me waiting all that time, then he falls asleep on the job!
For the biggest Godzilla, he was one of most frail. Maybe because he was so old. ;)

AdminGodzillaOct-31-2014 10:28 AMGorillaGodzilla,
Once again I think you're love for this incarnation is blocking out your sense to consider everything. Almost every Godzilla incarnation has swam massive distances at some point and fought without tiring out. Whether or not Toho was thinking realistically is irrelevant. Godzilla just wasn't fazed by swimming long distances in the original films.
And there's no indication that Battra and Mothra nearly killed Godzilla. Defeated and beat him down? Absolutely. But I think the MUTOs were closer to killing Godzilla than Mothra and Battra were capable of. And considering Godzilla killed Battra while being carried to the ocean is proof enough that he was far from incapacitated.

MemberTitanosaurusOct-31-2014 10:38 AMWell, at least he didn't fall asleep in the middle of a battle ;D

G. H. (Gman)
AdminGodzillaOct-31-2014 10:41 AM^Exactly, actually. The idea that Godzilla is old and has low stanima is a little more interesting anyway. He had to power through the situation instead of relying on an incredible cache of super powers and energy like the Heisei Godzilla.

TheGMan123
MemberTitanosaurusOct-31-2014 10:57 AMWell, I wouldn't say low stamina. I'd say he just didn't get any real opportunity to rest all the way throughout. Previously, some Godzilla iterations would just up and go to sleep in the middle of a fight, and then wake up ready to brawl again. This Godzilla is still way above any mere animal, that's for sure. Just not as reliant on movie magic as old versions.

Godzilla316
MemberAnguirusOct-31-2014 11:48 AMI just say that, this isnt new to Godzilla. He probably fought and killed lots of MUTOs back in the Permian times, and in that time it was more like 10-1, but maybe Godzilla had help so 10-3 but still. He has been doing this for millions of years, and its almost like Godzilla was inactive for 60 years, so it might've been something like "pins and needles" because i doubt he did any serious fighting, or swimming in that time. Maybe in the next movie he wont be as tired, but still be worn out for years of fighting.

I'm not sure what you're referring to as far as Godzilla fell asleep in the middle of battles. If he did it seemed to work out for him in the past.

dinoboy22
MemberMothra LarvaeOct-31-2014 12:22 PMhe gets knocked down a lot but never really falls asleep. this is really the first time since son of godzilla when we get to see him sleep

MemberBaragonOct-31-2014 12:56 PMI think that godzilla not only being so old, but as far as how realistically how any animal or even us humans would act after such a battle. I know the longer the fight goes on the more exhausted you get. So that being said i do believe that they based it off of how animals act after battling one another.

MemberGodzillaOct-31-2014 2:08 PMRAZG - I actually enjoyed that fact that Godzilla was so terribly exhausted and injured that he lost consciousness. I felt that the scene gave him a sympathetic character. Of course, that's simply my opinion on the matter! :)

MemberGiganOct-31-2014 2:56 PMHe travelled hundreds of miles, fought two monsters, and almost died in the course of days, and he was a giant, 300 million year old monster.
