Should there be one in this new series??
My theories as to who might be connected to Godzilla:
1)Ken Watanbe (Serizawa) might be the link cause of his knowledge, and attitude towards Godzilla especially how his "LET THEM FIGHT" line to me came off as that he knows Godzilla on some level.
2)Carson Bolde(Sam Brody) might also be the link cause of his behavior during the airport scene...when he suddenly woke up, and was watching tv...his expression to me was that he could sense what was happening before he saw the tv.
OR....
3) Maybe they could do what they did with (Akira Takarada) and have (Megumi Odaka) reprise her role as psychic to Godzilla????
What say you....Should there be a psychic link connection to Godzilla either with the above mentioned characters...or...someone else entirely???

Just to confirm to you guys, the Brody's wont be appearing in the sequels, none of the other cast will except maybe Serizawa.
Gareth heard the fan backlash over them, and he also most likely will follow the original Godzilla chain of changing the cast every film.

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-06-2014 7:13 AMI'm not sure about a psychic anything being in these films. Maybe a deep understanding or a religous connection (Mothra and Battra) but I see no way for this to work in the new films.

You've been separated from your parents, the bus you were on was thrown around and almost crushed by Godzilla. Like, I would expect a kid to be crying. They had extras act better than he did.
I could see Serizawa having a connection to Godzilla, but I hope that they stay away from all the psychic stuff

MemberTitanosaurusOct-06-2014 9:47 AMYeah, child actors are always a bit tricky, since kids generally don't know how to tap into their inner emotions all that well yet at will. Also, I could see Serizawa having a moment of so with Godzilla, but not in a truly psychic sense, but more of a "recognition sense", where the two acknowledge each other. In fact, it'd be pretty cool if Godzilla acknowledged the existance of Serizawa in some capacity :)

MemberBaragonOct-06-2014 10:51 AMAs much as I love the heisei series after Godzilla vs Biollante really didn't like that they kept tacking it on. I'd rather the new series steered away from it.
