Heck Godzilla could have withstanded all the nukes, they were nothing more then maybe, 16 megatons. 48 Megations wont do anything substantial.

Remember though that she laid eggs. It's not live birth. Sure, she would've been a bit weaker, but she's a Kaiju, and they aren't as weak as their normal animal counterparts. As well, her egg-laying didn't look all that tiring out to me, considering that though there were a lot, they were small, and her clutch wasn't tremendously large for her size.

Uhh, the Female was tanking alot of stuff after her birth, went back into the tussel and fought Godzilla head on for 30 seconds, stabbed him profusely, went back and attacked the humans whilet taking a missle to the face.

His actions are driven by instinct that tells him these creatures must be eliminated, but how he goes about it is up to him. He's shown to be both brutal and creative, an animalistic fighter and a thinker. He's no less animalistic than most other Godzilla incarnations.

In fact, he has more similarities than dissimilarities, such as some quite instinct-driven motives, but free reign in approach.
