Godzilla II: Monster Island
There are strong men and weak men. The strong ones are here to keep the weak ones up when ever they fail.
I don't know what it would be called. I think Godzilla II: Return of the King would be a pretty good title.
“Banana oil.”- George Takei, Gigantis: The Fire Monster
Sequels aren't categorized numerically anymore. It wasn't "Batman Begins 1: The Dark Knight", it was just "The Dark Knight". Adding a number to a movie title has become rather tacky.
I imagine one of the two upcoming Godzilla movies will be titled "King of the Monsters".
^ Yeah, knowing Legendary one of the sequels could definitely be titled King of the Monsters. I wouldn't mind seeing the second one titled Godzilla 2: The Rise of King Ghidorah or something like that.
"When man falls into conflict with nature, monsters are born." - Professor Hayashida, The Return of Godzilla
Here are my suggestions.
Godzilla: King Trials, Godzilla: Golden Curse, Godzilla: Ancient Terrors.
HIGH FLYERS TAG TEAM - Though it's been used, I believe I'd like to see the title Destroy all Monsters. :)
Godzilla: Devastation.
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." - Ernest Hemingway.
i say the second one should be called destroy all monsters and the third should be king of the monsters
Thumbs up to GorillaGodzilla. I like that.
But seriously it should reflect the movie pretty well. I really hope the number "2" or roman numeral "II" isn't in the title. I always felt that was a lazy way of going about movie titles.
I wouldn't mind if Legendary went for a classic "Godzilla vs..." title. That would be grand.
@DURP004 Even though I hate Sharkando, a lot, I still enjoyed that joke.
@GMAN I agree, adding a number to the title makes it feel lazy. (as in the Toy Story franchise, or the Shrek franchise, Star Wars didn't even have numbers until the prequels came along).
I agree with DINOBOY and PETEDJ on the names.
That title shouldn't be synonymous with Sharknado, it's genius and could work with everything, it also opens the doors for Godzilla 3: The Third One and that's a title I don't think anyone could pass up.
Anyone who says Godzilla 2: Destroy All Monsters, no, it's not a DAM film, it's wayyyy too thin, a DAM film should have around a dizen different kaiju in it. The third movie, I could see having the DAM tag, or something similar, like Monster Island in the title, I could see them getting the rights to more Toho kaiju for that one, if they decide to make it.
