The Awakening of Kijura: Chapter 16

A new character is introduced today.

The Awakening of Kijura: Chapter 6: Gojora

     Kijura knew that they needed to make sure that all the Shinomura cells were destroyed. After the fight with the giant Shincara, she and Little Luna set off to look, while Firrarus stayed behind to guard the Reactor.

     They didn’t find anything for a long time. They went into a clearing and Kijura stopped dead in her tracks. She lifted her head into the air and sniffed. It was a familiar scent. One she recognized. Little Luna lifted up her head as well sniffed the air. It was a scent that was similar to Kijura. It was the scent of a male Gojira.

     Kijura looked around cautiously. She heard a crashing sound and jerked her head towards it. It was coming closer. Kijura told Little Luna to hide, which this time she did immediately. The Gojira emerged into the edge of the clearing. He looked at her in surprise, not expecting to see her.  He started to approach her and Kijura growled at him. He stopped and looked at her. Kijura let loose a warning roar saying that if he attacked she would fight back. But he just stood there.

     From the other end of the clearing came a blast of cold wind. A pack of Kishou Dorogan burst out of the forest and headed straight towards the place where Little Luna was hiding. In the lead was a Kishou Dorogan that was larger than the rest. Kijura recognized him as the one who led the attack against them, Calemicus. Kijura and the male Gojira turned and faced the pack. Both roared them.

     Calemicus attacked first, charging forward at Kijura. The rest of the group split up, one group attacking the Gojira and the other heading towards Little Luna’s hiding place. Kijura swatted at Calemicus and came in contact with him, sending him crashing into the ground. She charged off towards the group attacking Little Luna. She tried to fire Atomic Breath, but still nothing. She charged ahead, getting ahead of the group. She turned around and roared at them. They were pushed back by the force of her roar. They started to charge their Ice Blast, when a blast of blue radioactive flame hit the pack.

     The male had quickly burned the Kishou Dorogan’s and attacked the other pack. He missed a few and started charging his Atomic Breath when Calemicus wrapped around his neck. He struggled to get him off. Kijura charged at him. Calemicus, seeing Kijura coming let go of him and flew into the air. Kijura collided with the male Gojira and they both crashed into the ground.

     They both got back up and roared at Calemicus. He called the remaining members of his pack and they fired their Ice Blast at them. Before the blast hit them, male Gojira fired his Atomic Breath, melting the ice. The rest of the Kishou Dorogan retreated. In a fit of rage Calemicus charged at the male Gojira. Just before he hit him, he fired his Atomic Breath in his face. He fell to the ground partially on fire. He fired his Breath at him and killed him.

     Little Luna emerged from her hiding place and nodded at him in thanks. She then left to go back to the Reactor. Then he turned to Kijura and nodded saying,

     My name is Gojora.

    My name is Kijura, she replied.

    You need to learn to use your Breath if you hope to survive another battle, I am willing to help you, Gojora said.

    Thank you, we need all the help we can get, Kijura replied.

   Kijura then left, with Gojora following her.

Next chapter may or not be osted on Sunday. I have an event that I'm doing that and may not get a chance to post it.
