MemberGiganSep-03-2014 6:26 PMUm, you know Vishnus a god right, how the hell would they make an explanation for Godzilla fighting him?
And Rodan, Mothra, King ghidorah were confirmed you can go down a few threads and watch the comic con video.
Good grief.

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-03-2014 6:27 PMNo because first they have had the rights to g for awhile since like 07 or something. Second I think it's illegal to show something at comic-con you do not own. (They had to pay)

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-03-2014 6:27 PMNot a possible. Fan outrage at this lie would shake the earth and bring about the end times. No one is stupid enough to try and pull that.

Vishnu is the name fans have apparently given to the unidentified, unused concept monster seen in Gareth Edward's Comic Con 2012 Godzilla teaser trailer. The name "Vishnu" is mentioned in Oppenheimer's narration, so the fans latched on to that and the rest is history.

The King of the Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeSep-03-2014 7:13 PMWhy would there be more M.U.T.O.s? We already saw what they had to offer and there is absoluetely no reason to suddenly introduce more members of the species. Legendary DID purchase the rights to the classic kaiju from Toho and now has no use at all for M.U.T.O. The M.U.T.O.s were created only because Legendary didn't have the rights to any other monsters so they had to invent their own for one movie. "Vishnu", as he is called by fans, was simply a prototype for M.U.T.O. that is not canon in the new universe, as confirmed by Gareth Edwards. Personally, I hope Legendary is done with M.U.T.O. and will move on to the monsters to whom they have acquired the rights. It would be a stupid marketing and plot decision for Legendary to just scrap Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah and resurrect the M.U.T.O.s for no reason. Seriously, people need to stop fixating on the M.U.T.O.s. They have served their purpose, and they are NOT the defining enemies of Godzilla in the new series.

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-03-2014 8:25 PMDude they're not allowed to show that they're making ghidora, mothra, and rodan without the rights, so obviously they already got them.

MemberBaragonSep-04-2014 12:35 AMI'm just going to say that the Vishnu monster will NEVER be in a movie, fans need to stop building it up after seeing its dead body for 2 seconds in a concept footage trailer.

The King of the Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeSep-04-2014 7:21 AM^ Agreed. "Vishnu" (the monster doesn't actually have a name at all) is not a part of the new universe nor will it ever be a part of it. The monster was created only for a teaser trailer because the script wasn't finished and Edwards wanted to at least show audiences that Godzilla would be fighting another monster in the movie. So, they made up a concept for a monster just to briefly show its corpse in the trailer. After the script was finally written, this creature was replaced by the M.U.T.O.s.

GODZILLA HIMSELF
MemberMothra LarvaeSep-04-2014 11:28 AMi cannot belive some people still think that the comic con thing( which was never even officially named vishnu) will ever pop up in a movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-11-2014 9:52 AMVishnu is an unused concpet creation only ever used in the 2012 teaser trailer to prepare everyone for the real Godzilla 2014 marketing campaign. In fact, the monster does not have a name. "Vishnu" is the name given to it by fans who didn't know any better and didn't like it that it was unnamed.
As far as Legendary lying to us? I doubt it.
