MemberMothra LarvaeAug-25-2014 8:21 AMThe opening credits to Gareth Edwards's recent Godzilla remake were actually pretty cool. Giving a brief visual history of the monster's rampages through history, the credits played up the government-conspiracy elements of the film by featuring text accompaniment for the imagery that would be almost immediately "redacted" by a virtual black marker.
Of course, now the credits have been officially released online by Warner Bros., which means fans have taken the time to freeze-frame and screen-grab all of the pertinent bits, showing off some of the behind-the-scenes writing that went into the world of the film.
There's some history, some mythology and even some good, old-fashioned in-jokes, as the screen that features Bryan Cranston's credit references both Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle before the censors come in to scrub away the evidence...and even after the censorship starts, one fan noted that the words "Walter White," Cranston's Breaking Bad character, are featured onscreen for a split second.
No doubt these will be viewable on the blu release.
