Godzilla PS3 Game Coming to America After All? (Bandai Namco Willing to Do It!)

Altough, the way the tweets sounded, it seems like they won't really do it, just saying that to make the fanboys quiet.

When a big developer like Namco is NOT going to do something (like localize the game) the last thing you wanna do is give your customers false hope by bothering to reply to them at all, let alone give enthusiastic replies back. I feel if they weren't gonna do it, they would've just not said anything.

Or maybe I'm too optimistic so I can keep myself busy till Godzilla 2 comes out. Who knows?!

Yeah, it's not a yes or no, but it instills more hope for fans. I don't think Namco would be giving fans the time of day unless they were looking into the distribution possibilities.

Well, even if it is released in America or not, I'll still have to buy a PS3.

I hope they consider an Xbox version. Otherwise I have to buy a PS3.

if it does come out anywhere else any chance of it coming out on other consoles? it would sell a lot more if it were on other consoles

Anywho, I first contact the community manager upon Bandai Namco Games Forum, and he answered they are very well aware of the game, with the manager himself talking about it throughout the company. If we want the game to be localized, then fans need to "holler" and directly express our demand and voices for it upon their Facebook and Twitter page. The manager would pass along our support and voices to help drive our cause. 

With them being Godzilla fans themselves, the possibility of localization is definitely there and in our favor in becoming a reality. Our voices are being recorded and passed along. They are more than willing to localize, but the fanbase needs to keep up their voice and continue to demand for the game. The greater our numbers are, the louder our voices are, will increase how closer we are to attain the greenlight.

Bandai Namco has been given the online petition that is currently ongoing for localization of the upcoming Godzilla game, beyond the messages from passionate fans hitting their pages, they also see the evidence of fans in support of wanting the game to come overseas. They are listening and willing. But only we can make it happen.

I'm gonna check in with the manager soon to see if any new developers have stirred, it's probably a bit too soon to issue out an update. But just to know how things are would be quite helpful.  

^Hopeful information there. It sounds like it comes down to how loud the fans are. Godzilla fans aren't super well known for coming together for this kind of thing, so I hope there's enough of a vocalization there to get things cracking.

I do agree on that point, G-fans aren't exactly exacting capable of coming together. Although that is either because many don't know about a development that requires unison, and thus no real force comes together due to the lack of news reaching out to them. 

Or because some just aren't interested in coming any cause despite being within the fandom. 

But if you reach the right sources, you can tap into pools who want this game and could help. It depends on where you look and how far you can spread the information. I'll be doing just that with this, hopefully the numerous voices will make a difference in the long run.

Man, i hope that they do pull through, it would be nice to see this game here in america.

Oh well, anyway, yes, I do hope things will come together. Just have to make some noise and spread awareness. 

Hey guys theres a petition out for the locailzation of the new Godzilla PS3 game. It only needs around 77 more signatures, heres the link. So far there's still no word on if this game will be localized, but I'm really hoping that it is. We haven't gotten a seriously good Godzilla game... almost ever. The gamecube/wii/ps2 games had fans, but I was never really one of them. I feel the developers were lazy on the monster designs and never pushed as hard as they could have. Even for gamecube/wii/ps2, those games were sub par for graphics and mechanics.

This game looks pretty good though. Some mild free roam capabilities from the looks of the most recent trailer and other Toho enemy "bosses" or surprise fights at some point. Still have no idea if a story is there or if it's just a "go and smash" kind of thing, but either way it looks awesome and I hope we do get a confirmation of localization soon. Bandai/Namco would be fools not to localize it given how popular Godzilla is here in the states (and worldwide).
