We all know KG is going to be the bad guy so should he die in the sequel or should he live on to be in Godzilla  3?

He will most likely die, as he has in the latter godzilla films, showa king ghidorah didn't die until destroy all monsters, but then somehow came back to life in godzilla vs gigan, so yeah he will die.

I think it depends. If they want him to return for another sequel (unless it's as Mecha-King Ghidorah), then he should obviously live. However, if there will be different villian monsters then he should be killed. But they should make up their minds unlike in the Transformers movies where they kill Megatron off in every movie then just bring him back.(As a side note, the reason Ghidorah came back in Godzilla vs. Gigan was because technically it was set before Destroy All Monsters chronologically.)

I really don't see him living, it is hard to say for now though, but my guess is they will have him die.

BIGBADBEN - showa KG was only alive in Godzilla vs Gigan because Destroy all Monsters took place in the future.

^that really doesn't make sense though to general audiences. It is hard to follow what toho was thinking, i mean godzilla vs mechagodzilla 2 actually took place in 1992 and when destroy all monsters starts it starts off with "the year is 1999." So yeah some things are hard to follow. :/

I think the only reason they set Destroy All Monsters in the future and killed off Ghidorah was because it was originally intended to be the last Godzilla movie and they wanted to end it conclusively. Of course once they decided to resume making the movies and money was tight, they had to get all of the use they could out of the suits they had, the Ghidorah suit being one of them.

I'd say King Ghidorah should die.

Anyone who defies the King of monsters should die! >:O  hehehehe but talking seriously, yep, Ghidorah should die only to return in the third movie! Either way, goodluck Gareth! Please dont screw it up!

What I think they should do is give a hint, a reference, to the Toho universe in how many different Ghidorahs exist in the Goji universe. What I'm saying is: King Ghidorah could die in the sequal, but maybe in following movies, introduce another Ghidorah species like Death Ghidorah, Grand Ghidorah, Kaiser, etc to take his place. (Keep in mind, I know both Death and Grand Ghidorah are part of the Rebirth of Mothra movies, but they are overall part of the same universe). All-in-all, yes, I do think it would make a great story if King Ghidorah died. But either way, seeing a western adaption of KG would be dope!

Grand Ghidorah is technically just King Ghidorah, the "Grand" in his name was inexplicably added in the English dub. I wouldn't want the series to focus too much on the Ghidorahs when there are tons of other great monsters to choose from for the sequels. Still, seeing Desghidorah or Keizer Ghidorah appear in some way in the sequels would still be boss.

My response would be America. America loves to just kill off characters that in either comics, movies, or any other media live to tell the tale. Some examples include the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom any many more that I can't think of off the top of my head. They like to use prime characters to get the fans riled up then kill franchises depending on the numbers. So if I were to say if King Ghidorah would be killed off, I would say yes.

Here's how the sequels should happen:
Godzilla 2: With the MUTOs out of the way, other kaijus awaken from their slumber. Kaiju like Anguirus, Rodan, and Mothra. Humans will see them as a threat to their existence and declare war on them. Eventually, they will realize such a war will only tear the Earth apart and begin to try to coexist.
Godzilla 3: A meteorite crashes to Earth. Ghidorah emerges. He destroys cities and kills all kaijus in his path. Until only Godzilla stands between Ghidorah and the destruction of Earth. Godzilla battles Ghidorah in the climax to decide the fate of Earth and end the trilogy.

I don't know. If they did kill him off it would upset alot of gidorah fans, not that I am one though. Think about it, gidorah, one of godzilla's most powerfull enemies just gets killed off in just one or two movies? I have a feeling they will keep away from the idea of killing gidorah and have a little fun with this kaiju, or should I say "M.U.T.O". Same with mothra and rodan, maybe they'll get to live and the other new made monsters will be the ones dying. But if you ask me for my opinion (not that anybody cares) I have no priblem killing off any toho monster, as long as its a good honorable death then I'll be ok with it.
