Could a Pacific Rim,and Godzilla matchup work, and could it be done(If it ever happened I would like Godzilla to at least be a category 8-9)

I am writing a Godzilla 2014 vs Pacific Rim Fan Fic. I posted Chapter 1 last week. I see it as the Precursors trying to travel back 2012-2013 to send out Cat 4,5 and 6 kaiju instead of Cat 1 and 2, however they accidentally cause drift between universes, transporting Godzilla, Minira and Serizawa to the Pacific Rim universe

Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?" He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."

Could it work? Depends. If you dont mind Godzillas origin too be changed, making him an alien, i guess it could work. But Godzilla being an alien creation most likely wouldnt fly with everyone.

And making him an alien is the only way too fit him into the PR universe. Unless...Wait.

We are talking about introducing him into the universe as his own entity, not crossing from a specific series(Showa, Heisei, Millenium or Legendary?) right?

Crossing over from another series wouldnt work continuity-wise.

I've an idea that I think you would like but you're just going to have to wait a little longer for it...

How far can we push nature before it pushes back?

Well, actually Godzilla wouldn't be a Cat 6-10, because the Cat V, Slattern, was almost double the size of Godzilla. I do like @Godzilla316's explanation.

I'm sorry to disapoint but I don't really like Godzilla316's explanation. The whole drift between universes and time travel whatever definently will not fly with me. It sounds way to cheasy and over used. Now that I have said my opinion, I am ready to absorb those negative comments now.

@Gojira 2014

No prob man, Criticism is always helpful.

Due to Godzilla abilities and size he us definitely over Cat 10, Why??

1. Pacific Rim kaiju are silicon-based lifeforms, this allows them to be light e.g. 6000 tons, Godzilla on the other hand is 90 000 tons. Also most military nukes these days are 1-2 Megatons. If Trespasser was killed by 3 modern day nukes, he was killed by 3-6 Megatons. Godzilla survived 15 Megatons,  so his durability is way more superior. Even Striker's bomb in the movie wasnt more than 2 Megatons, considering Gipsy survived it at such close range.

2.Slattern is estimated to be 550 ft tall, I think that is inaccurate because he definitely wasnt twice as tall as Gipsy Danger. Also, Slattern's durability is pretty bad because although he survived that bomb, he was heavily damaged and it wasnt even over 3 Megatons.

So my point is Godzilla is definitely over Cat 8 at least, size isnt everything in some cases :-D

Why can't Pacific Rim be in the same universe as Godzilla? The jeagers had their fight but then we started to find monsters of our own. Also Godzilla could always win but maybe that would be how Jet Jaguar, Mogera, and the Mechagodzillas could come into play.

I don't know, an idea i had was when gypsy danger exploded releasing radioactivity, why not have the area where it exploded release godzilla from his slumber in that area?

^ I agree.

@Godzilla316, hm. I didn't realize how big the bomb was or how light the Kaiju were. Thanks for clearing that up.

Pacific Rim cannot fit with Godzilla because their lore does not match.

Pacific Rim says that the FIRST Kaiju ever to appear were alien life forms and they appeared in 2013 from deep beneath the Pacific Ocean. Where was Godzilla during that time? If he's nature's force for balance, why didn't he appear and destroy the Kaiju? He wasn't injured or recovering from anything, so where was he? Also, when the world came together to pool its resources and throw aside old rivalries for the sake of the future of humanity, the cover up of Godzilla's existence would have been revealed to the world leaders and steps would have been taken to deal with him as soon as possible. Along the years leading up to Pacific Rim's main events, Godzilla either would have been hunted down by the Jaegers, or come to trash the Kaiju. He didn't do any of it.

A crossover can only work when you throw out the lore of both and rewrite it yourself, as someone else has done with their fanfiction. But that's the only place it works, fanfiction. With the established lore of both movies set in stone, there is absolutely no chance for a crossover.
