26 ft is 8 meters...
I don't see what the big deal is about the size comparison. No one's mentioned that Kiryu is even more drastic than the '94/'14 Godzilla divide. Looks like they gave Kiryu a 45-50 meter growth spurt.
Keeping the monsters consistant sizes to one another is the norm for Godzilla games. Not sure why it would be any different now.
They shrunk down all of the monsters for this game. I think they're all 50m or so.
This is why all of the buildings go over their heads instead of coming to their hips.
It's a big deal to me cuz I'm OCD about inconsistent size, Legendary G is clearly more massive overall (height isn't everything). It's like comparing a human standing to a Grizzly bear standing. Sure a Grizzly standing is only a few feet taller than a human but he's clearly more massive and scary. Same with Legendary G, he should be more massive than that.
It would've been way more fun to play a larger Godzilla in comparison to Heisei, it would also be more fun to play with Milennium's small size, feels like a wasted oppurtunity for more diverse gameplay.
Also, the more I see of this game the worse the graphics look. :/
Sorry for being NegativeGigan all of a sudden. XD
It's funny, a few years ago people would be saying "those are top of the line graphics! Most realistic ever! PS3 is great!" Now it's the "PS3 graphics suck, PS4 is better"
@NERDYBANDGEEKS
Not really, they look like the best of the best PS2 graphics, I know it's still in production (so it could change) but if it were PS3 graphics it'd look a lot cleaner.
It saddens me that Legendary Godzilla's sizing is very off. I understand that this version of Toho Godzilla is 328 feet tall while Legendary Godzilla is 355 feet tall. However Legendary Goji is not just a little taller..He is MUCH longer and much greater in width.
^The Heisei Godzilla is 212 meters long. Legendary Godzilla is 168 meters long.
Sorry I just don't see the big deal with this. It's really not that off and it's to be expected since every Godzilla game in the past has consolidated the film sizes.
still 26 feet makes a giant diffrence. He is the whole size of king kong taller than heisei.
Good grief.
@Gman
I'd rather have a small roster of monsters and the game actually be playable than a big roster of monsters and the game be garbage.
*Cough unleashed cough*
^True, but there's a limit. Part of the novelty of many long standing franchise games is having an appealing roster. In Godzilla's case, there's 60 years worth. They need to figure out how to balance it out with quality.
What if it comes with an option like this:
1. Use original size
2. Monsters are now same size
I doubt it, and if that option isnt there then WTF!!!!!! G14 looks SOOOO small
Not bad, though I'm hoping they refine it a bit before launch.
Heisei Godzilla's neck is too long and the head droops forward almost like a bananna or something. Comparing the head and neck to movie shots from the Heisei era and it doesn't match very well but overall it's still good for a video game interpretation.
But they have time, so with luck they'll keep refining it until it looks even better. G2014 could use a tiny bit of work as well, but then again being a stickler for details and whatnot as well as OCD I can't help but think that it could always be better.
