MemberAnguirusJul-26-2014 11:47 AMI am starting this thread in memory of former member, True American Godzilla, who brought this debate to our minds, I would just like to expand on it a little, I also added it to Fan Works.
Females would be 75-90 meters tall, 600-680 ft long, and probably weighing 45 000- 61 000 tons. They would be slenderer than males, but have blunter dorsal spines and have twice as much nuclear reserves and better EMP tolerance than males to make up for their weaker strength and smaller size. Although their atomic breath isnt stronger it is just as deadly and the females can technically fire it for twice as long as males, because they have twice as much nuclear reserves. Female Godzillas only lay 1 egg, and rarely lay more. Because they usually only have one offspring, they tend to be much more protective and aggressive than usual, evem going to lengths such as sacrificing themselves to make sure their offspring flees to safety from the threat. However other than that, females tend to be light-hearted, sometimes hunting down prey for Varan, which are giant gliding lizards who usually are ignored and struggle to survive. Females and males raise their offspring together and do not kill another Godzillas offspring, although they will kill other Godzillas who challenge them for territory or threated their young. After mating female Godzillas wait about 5 months before they lay their egg. (Im not sure who suggested this but they are credited whoever they are) Females determine the best male to mate by the one which has the best spine glow. After meeting, they circled around looking at eachother, they then take to the water and begin their incredible mating ritual underwater (im not gonna explain it... use your imagination)
So what do you think so far??? What should I add??? :-)

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-26-2014 11:53 AMits good, but in my opinion Females would be stronger and bigger but would lack Atomic breath

MemberBaragonJul-26-2014 11:55 AMLooking towards Biollante as the closest thing we have to a confirmed female Godzilla it would seem females would be bigger and more aggressive than the males

MemberTitanosaurusJul-26-2014 12:04 PMI'd say the males and females are relatively close in size, but males have more pronounced dorsal spikes, and they can get them to glow much ore brightly. However, a female is always several times more aggressive when it comes to defending young, and at that sort of size and as the alpha predator of the time, only one, maybe rarely two are born.
I'd say that at first, when the egg first hatches, a family of Godzillas will stay on land, but only for a short while. Afterwards, they'll move into the water once the juvenile is strong enough, where they stay for most of their lives.
