No, Godzilla 2014 hasn't been shown in Japan yet. On July 25th they will see it.

That's pretty awesome, but wouldn't the Japanese fans rather be surprised when he blasts his atomic breath? Maybe they put that scene in the TV spot so they could see if they got good reactions to the new design of the atomic breath.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-17-2014 11:45 AMThe later release in Japan has nothing to do with translation. It is being released later in that country because it coincides with a holiday there better that way, so more people will go and see the movie and more money will be made.
