True American Godzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeJul-04-2014 8:59 PMWhat made the 1st American Godzilla film neat was the enemy monsters, the MUTOs, we didn't know how the battle would go down. As we are introduced to them, we learn their abilities, but it's the final battle where they really shined as a rather tough pair.
To me, another non-Toho Kaiju should be in future films to keep this same felling in place. However, it doesn't have to be another completely original concept. It could heavily draw upon a non-Toho monster that we'd love to see how Godzilla would fair against. Let me start to give some examples...
In the cartoon series Yu-Gi-Oh! they introduced a rather nasty monster called Diabound. Diabound has the ability to inherit the abilities and attack of each monster that it destroys in battle. Below is the original form of Diabound...
...and next is its final form, before being defeated, after asborbing a large number of monster traits (to be honest, I like his look in his final form than its original)...
Now obviously the Legendary Pictures version would NOT BE THIS FORM. However, its ability is very impressive, it can evolve itself with every monster it slays. Imagine the DIABOUND ability in a horrifying deep sea monster who, in order to try to slay Godzilla, is killing other kaijus to be strong enough. Until then it's keeping its distance from Godzilla... and those pesky humans chacing him.

MemberAnguirusJul-04-2014 9:19 PMThats really cool, but I would want to see The Kraken from Clash of the Titans, that would be an epic fight, the creature will be called the Kraken and have the same design as 2010 but have a different origin, like a sea beast that was hunted by the Godzilla species, but one was frozen in ice and has recently broke out, to kill Godzilla and his child (Aurora, Minilla you get the point) for revenge

The kraken would also be cool, it could of become frozen or dormant like GODZILLA316 said only to wake from this slumber and ravage the coastline cities until gojira comes...

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-05-2014 9:24 AMI've laid out a few intriguing concepts for new monsters in my latest thread for my DAM-themed 2nd sequel (which would be the 3rd and final film):
Kumoraiju-A portmanteau of the words "kumori" meaning "bat" and "kaiju" meaning "monster", translating to "Bat Monster" in Japanese. Basically, a giant mutant bat created from remnants of the dead MUTOs. He has EMP, reproductive abilities, scythes on both arms, and glares a terrifying red color when soaring through the sky as to give the appearance of a creature of the nigh (think: Batman's appearance through human's eyes after being hit with the fear toxin at the end of BB).
Mesias-A multi-headed Monster X-type monster, glares red-colored nuclear radiation all throughout his body. Hailed by a cult as a God and protector of China, hence being given the name "Mesias" which is Spanish for "Messiah".
Wolfala-A bipedal wolf-dinosaur hybrid spliced from the dead corpse of a second Godzillasaurus and a wolf, giving him many physical similarities to Godzilla's design.
Leviathan-Like other's suggestions of the Kraken, I thought I'd give you another famous monster used in other films and literature.
