MemberMothra LarvaeJun-24-2014 3:35 PMHello everyone! Thank you for checking out my post. After recent stories have come out, some are getting good reviews, and some bad. So I had the idea, why not ask the people what THEY would like to see in a Godzilla story made by me, a fellow G-Fan. Trust me, I am a talented writer, even though I may be young. Some stories I have written, have been reccomended to be published. (No gloating intended.)
So, what would YOU like to see in a Godzilla story? I will possibly make a story BASED on your suggestions! Titles, Ideas, Plotlines, Characters, Monsters, YOU NAME IT. I will take ANY suggestions!
Thank you!

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-24-2014 4:45 PMWell, first off I'm curious how long you plan on writing this. Because lenght can greatly effect on what subject is more appropriate. A short fanfiction would focus on a particular point and idea, if it's a long fanfiction that idea could expand fuse and create dozen of intricate plotlines.
There's not much to really propose since Godzilla is not an intricately deep character, he is a giant monster who is powerful beyond what is considered normal. And there's only so much you can do with this. It's like all ideas for a Toho movie is already made. Just have Godzilla fight something and have characters react.
While that formula works, let's give it a fresh spin. Try setting the story in the ancient times. Perhaps 200-300 BC at the founding of Imperial China or the birth of Japan. Your characters can be everyday oblivious people who are witnessing Titans rising from the oceans and sky battling each other, and nations attempting to deal with "Gods on Earth".
Perhaps the story could be about a young group of people trying to find their family in a "Dragon seized" territory.
If you want a more fantastical spin you could tell the story regarding the fall of Mu, a fictional lost continent that was sunk by a catastrophe, perhaps an advanced civilization was in a war against Toho monsters (whom were worshipped as Gods) and they finally contributed to the fall of the continent.
The story could focus on a group of people attempting to leave Mu before it is destroyed by their nation's arrogance. Or it could simply be about the war.
It's something fresh I would love to see.

MemberTitanosaurusJun-25-2014 9:17 AMI remember on some REALLY OLD threads on here, where I posted my ideas for an entire Giant-Mech/Monster series that just happened to include Godzilla and other classic Kaiju, alongside the other monsters and mechs. It goes a little something like this:
The reason why giant monsters, called PEMFs (Post-Evolutionary Mega-Fauna) can exist in the first place revolves around the mystical concept of the soul, which started not on Earth, but somewhere else far, far away, several billion years ago. Shortly after the unvierse's creation, in fact. Humans were the first and only living beings to have ever evolved. They eventually perfected their technology to the point that they could manipulate their own souls.
From this process, the Humans, on the brink of extinction, converted the souls of all whom died into giant monsters. With each soul, they grew larger, more intelligent, and gained the ability to create life on their own. When the first Humans went extinct, their prodigy was a series of giant monsters as large as small moons, each more intelligent than the entirety of the first Humans' collective scientific expertise. They were the bearers of all life in the universe, each unique based on what souls comprised it.
Every PEMF created this way flew off into different directions, eventually settling into a suitable area of space, whereby they grew into a life-bearing planet, and began the cycle of life again. Each one of the PEMFs was competely Human genetically, but their souls allowed them to attain such large sizes, as well as granting incredible powers and resilience. When they grew into said life-bearing planets, they would also set up a PEMF-creation process within themselves, as did their Human creators before them.
On each PEMF-planet, life evolved and diversified, but Humans would always evolve at some point. The Humans would be the ones whose souls would contribute to the PEMF-creation process, making more PEMFs to spread life around when the time was right. This process would continue for billions of years, undisturbed, unchanging. That is, until one day, billions of years ago, one PEMF from this cycle grew into the Earth. When Humans evolved on Earth, everything would change.
The Humans of Earth had accidentally stumbled onto the PEMF-creation process, and inadvertedly interrupted it, prematurely awakening the currrent PEMFs that resided within the planet. They were young, merely fetuses in terms of development, and their mental and physical development had been changed forever. They would awaken, angry and with only above-average-animal intelligence, not knowing how to interpret their surroundings. Despite being lesser-than-children, they were equally as large and dangerous as some of the Earth's naturally evolved PEMFs.
Speaking of which, Earth was also special in that it was the only planet where PEMFs evolved naturally, beyond a few odd alien planets, independent of the life-bearing-creation process. But back to the ones we're talking about. These premature PEMFs were a threat to Humanity, and only one was ever killed conventionally. The sheer number of nukes, around 100 Tsar-level bombs, killed the first one. However, from its corpse, a new technology for Earth's Humans was gleaned. The manipulation of the soul.
Using this tech, Humans created the Warmongers, giant mechanical robots in the shape of Humans, whom had a soul-matrix as the core, fueled by willing volunteers, whereby they would have their souls become intensified and power the structure and weapons of their respective Warmonger. However, the trade-off is that they would have their consciences stuck inside the mechanical body forever. The trade-off payed off, for now Humanity could target and kill the premature PEMFs on even grounds.
However, war never changes. When it was believed all PEMFs were killed, Humanity turned on itself, igniting an all-out global war that nearly destroyed the Human race, aided with the nearly invincible Warmongers. Nukes went off like crazy, and the classic Kaiju also joined the fray, feeding off the nukes thrown around and growing even larger, with Godzilla reaching the likes of 1000 meters in height, and others reaching similarly large sizes. Centuries would pass before the war ended.
By that end period, the Warmongers were stored away, and nations swore never to use them again. But centuries more pass, and the cycle-PEMFs return once again. Humanity havign scrapped several Warmongers centuries earlier, must rush to restore some of the last remaining ones of old. Except Japan, for they were the only nation allowed to maintain an active service Warmonger all the way through the post-war period. Godzilla and co. aren't happy with either the Humans or the cycle-PEMFs.
As you can tell, I have a lot on my plate here. This is a series about war, the ethics of weaponizing oneself for the greater good, and the decision of whether or not to find a way to restore the balance before Humanity caused the interruption in the cycle of life. Feel free to use any ideas from it if you want. Just tell me which ones.
