MemberBaragonJun-24-2014 3:03 PMhello everyone, i just got to thinking about few things the studios could do for the sequal.
1. When godzilla was fighting both the male and female muto we did see godzilla get cracked pretty hard by the female causing a little bit of blood splatter, it is my theory already that some people find the blood and use it to create something like godzilla.
2. When the atomic bomb exploded at the end it could have well left behind a huge ammounts of radiation poisoning all sea life either causing mutations, or even causing those who eat the fish out of the water very sick or even killed them.
3. Or the radiation that godzilla and the mutos left behind in the city caused people being exposed to it and killing many causing the military and the government to get dr. serizawa to find a way to kill godzilla
Ok now since biollante is a huge possiblity in the sequal because of the arrogance of man thinking nature is in our control not the other way around, perhaps serizawa and sally hawkins find this blood and use it to create biollante.
Now then depending on how successful the sequal will be and if we are all lucky to get a trilogy then in my opinion spacegodzilla will be in the trilogy....think about it. :)
I know we don't have any kind of information at this time but this is only a few things that came to my mind.
What do you all think? :)

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-24-2014 3:49 PMI like it, because it includes my two favorite monsters. BUUUUUUUUUUUT...
Going to throw my hat in, because why not.
I think the sequel is going to be Mothra, and I believe that Mothra will tie to Monarch, Monarch, moth, get it :). I think that they know about Mothra, and that it has something to do with the sink-holes that were cut from the movie. Perhaps the Larva is causing them, or it may be some kind of psychic distortion. Perhaps Mothra can control people mentally, and is actually in-charge of Monarch. I don't know, but I think there was too many references to Mothra for it all to be for nothing.
Also, and this is just my opinion, but I thought that G14's tone and pacing most closely resembled that of Godzilla vs. the Thing. Probably means nothing, but another thing to point out.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-24-2014 4:27 PMSorry to bring your dreams down but Space Godzilla would be highly unlikely. I mean, they could find a way to put him in one of he sequels but a non godzilla fan would not understand since other monsters would have to be introduced in order for Space Godzilla to have an explanation for his excistence. But I like what you said about how the radiation could possibly affect the sea life, which could bring a possibilty for Ebirah. But keeping the sort of realistic tone for the movie they would probably throw in Anguirus or Rodan since they are both prehistoric monsters just like Godzilla. But if they could, I would love to see Mecha Godzilla (either created by aliens or the GDF) or King Ghidorah. Good post btw!

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-24-2014 7:04 PMLegendary has no rights to other Toho monsters at this time, and if they acquire the rights to more we won't hear about it anytime soon.
Also, Godzilla and the MUTOs were not shown to leak radiation from their bodies. If they did, the people in the streets around Godzilla in the end would not have been allowed that close as the military would have blocked off the area around him to prevent anyone from suffering from radiation poisoning.
The nuke killing sea life is almost not even a question, it's a given, but because radiation doesn't just do what you want it to the chances of it producing another monster is absolute zero.
Also, the concept of Spacegodzilla is not logcially or scientifically sound, and could never happen. Biollante could not happen either, as merging a single cell of one creature with a single cell of another doesn't automatically create a life form capable of cell reproduction.
Biollante and Spacegodzilla are among Godzilla's least realistic foes, and would never fit in the Legendary Pictures franchise.
It's nice that you're trying to think of possibilities, but you need to remember that 95% of Toho monsters were only ever designed to look good on film and are not practial creatures or even realistic enough to begin thinking about using them in any kind of realistic franchise like this one.
Without a practical or at least a scientifically sound background, Legendary has no reason to use the Toho monsters. Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Spacegodzilla, Mechagodzilla are the top four on the list of impractical and unrealistic enemies for Godzilla, and the chances we'll see them in this franchise when they have a universe already set to use for their future movies is practically zero.
Unless we hear that Legendary acquires the rights to further Toho monsters, you should not expect for any reason that they'll show up.

MemberBaragonJun-25-2014 9:17 AM@tw_g-fan2014,
In an interview with someone from legendary they have already stated that any monster is possible in the sequal. Instinctivegigan has a thread that covers more on that topic. And i will expect for any reason that any of these kaiju's will show up. There is a long list of kaiju's that are extremely realistic from the godzilla series.

Mecha Rodan
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-25-2014 9:45 AMList of realistic TOHO monsters: Biolante, Mechagodzilla(could be built), Aguirus, Rodan. Titanosaurus, Jet Juaguar( if you say he isn't then I will ask if Pacific Rim is any better), Ebirah, Megiguaras, and Baragon. Did I miss any?

MemberBaragonJun-25-2014 9:47 AMyep, kumonga, kamakiras, maybe megalon, mothra, even though hedorah isn't realistic in terms of design however the threat is very real. :)

MemberBaragonJun-25-2014 10:18 AMJust as a side note the MUTOs did leak radiation, that's why the female's caccoon was moved to a holder for nuclear arms in the desert.
I hate that people try to say toho monsters can't be practical. Origins can change, and this monster movie isn't that grounded in reality. There's made up places, 3 giant unstoppable monsters running around, and with different powers. I don't think anyone would watch the sequel and be totally turned off by the fact a cell from a monster that doesn't even exist in the first placce couldn't be genetically engineered with something else to make it larger, or bigger. That's the same type of person that would laugh at Godzilla since he's not collapsing under his own weight and chances are that person wouldn't see the movie to begin with.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-26-2014 6:39 AMAs cool as I think Biollante would look updated and with $multi-mil CGI, your theory on why they created her makes no sense. If nature is out of our hands, why would we create something like her to try and tip the scale? I can't quite put my finger on it, but it sure sounds like we would be trying to control nature by creating Biollante, at least that's what I get out of it.
I was also thinking of adding her to my story treatment for a DAM-themed 2nd sequel (3rd movie), but as a villain. The way I envision it going down: in a subplot, a group of domestic bio-terrorists created her in a ploy to get the humans to hand over a reimagined MechaGodzilla (who I would try and make as realistic as possible by only giving him "real" weapons, basically weapons that actually exist this day and age, none of that futuristic stuff, i.e: no lasers) on account of them not trusting the American government with such an advanced piece of weaponry, fearing they might use it for shady ends, which they, of course, refuse to do, hence Biollante being unleashed!
Also, a lot of you may not know this, but Legendary apparently already has the rights to 4 other Toho monsters besides Godzilla according to an admin on Toho Kingdom who keeps in contact with LP regularly named Chris, and with 2 other movies in between, they could definitely buy the rights to more Toho monsters between now and then, if need be. I do think the sequels should have a mix of old and new monsters, though, especially a DAM-themed sequel, which Edwards has tossed around the idea of doing in an interview last year. Also, a lot of the Toho monsters they may wind up using (Ghidorah, Mothra, Biollante, Destoroyah if they decide go that route) would need to at least have certain parts of their origin modded if not completely redone, especially Destoroyah (as there's no Oxygen Destroyer in this universe), who I think would make a great end boss for them to end the series on. Moreover, it would also allow die-hard G fans to see vengeance fulfilled.

MemberBaragonJun-26-2014 1:34 PM@kmanx89,
Right! an interview that instinctivegigan has in one of his topics says that any monster is possible in the sequal. :)
Plus it would make perfect since for biollante to show up like i have stated the blood that we all saw come off of godzilla when the female muto cracked him, some scientists could use his blood or should i say DNA to create biollante like they did in godzilla vs biollante 1989. :)
