When do you think Godzilla 2014's sequel will be released?

Hmm... depends on how soon Edwards is done with production on Star Wars. He can certainly prep for Godzilla 2 after Star Wars has been filmed, which will probably be late 2015/early 2016. 2017 isn't out of the realm of possibility if he were rushed, but I'm going to play it safe and say 2018.

I'll have to say 2018/2019. You gotta think, Gareth is also working on a Star Wars spin-off series. Plus I think he will take his time with the sequel. :)

But guys take into account gareth did say that if the movie does well in china, He will start production immiediatley.

^He really didn't say that. His exact quote was, "Obviously, like, we want the film to be a hit in China, and if it is, we might get to make another one so I'm gonna cross my fingers and wait and see what happens."

The video on CBM has him saying exactly that. Other quotes seem to be a mistranslation on China's part.

The media/fans just blew his quote out of proportion and made something out of nothing. Kind of like the whole thing with Japanese calling the new Godzilla fat.

I know this is kinda late but since Gareth is doing the first star wars movie, I'd say 2018-2020.

Gojifan- Remember though, it is just a spin off movie its not a full length. Its only gonna be 1 hour and 12 minutes long. Also its been in production since early this year. So i think we will start hearing news about the sequel maybe middle 2015?
