Did you like how they tried showing off Godzilla's massive size?? Basically his teasing?

Thinking about each Godzilla scene from the movie that kept teasing him, I decided to make a video of scenes showing Godzilla and scenes of Clash of the Titan showing the Kraken, and I just couldnt help but realize that the way they showed off the Kraken's size seemed to have been much better than the way they showed off Godzilla in the new movie.

You might argue with me that it's just because the Kraken has more of a bigger body size, but I kinda disagree because when they showed the Kraken rising from the water, the camera was actually focusing on the Kraken's whole body, unlike Godzilla where each teasing scene the camera would only focus on a body part of Godzilla like every single time.

What I'm trying to say is that I still can't really picture the new Godzilla's design in my head perfectly because the way they kept trying to tease Godzilla in the movie was just too much teasing and wasn't as good of showing him off that well.  I'm not saying the teasing scenes sucked, I mean the scenes looked amazing showing his humongous tail rise up from the water, the flares and the people watching as Godzilla walks by a building, and his foot step.

My only problem is and maybe it's some of yours too, is that they just kept showing only a body part of Godzilla in almost every scene, like seriously, not one scene that teases but at least shows his whole body, like they didn't even show Godzilla actually rising from the water, never in the movie they did.  And yes I do know they show Godzilla's full body at the airport for only 20 seconds and at the final fight scene that keeps cutting off the scene to the humans, and see those are another one of the problems.  I just don't think they showed off Godzilla as much and as good enough to make me picture Godzilla in my head perfectly and to also show his massive size.

Another thing I find as a fail is that they said we were going to see Godzilla in a really big human perspective in the new movie so that we can visualize what it would look like if we did see Godzilla in real life, I mean we did see Godzilla in human perspectives, but I honestly still find the Kraken's human perspective to have been much better than Godzilla's.  I don't know for sure why yet, but watching the Kraken scenes where Perseus is flying around the Kraken and where they're all face to face with the Kraken, it's just a damn wow feeling to me.  Watching Godzilla's scenes, well, some scenes were amazing but I just don't really have the wow feeling for it.

Just watch my video below so you can compare and study each of the monster's massive showoffs and stuff, and also tell me if you agree with me that the way the Kraken was shown off was better or just tell me your own reason why Godzilla's teasings and all were still fine.

Godzilla looks better the kraken looks kind of small you know its just his tentacles make him look big. Godzilla would his U KNOW WHAT, and take his name, and after Godzilla did that his name was KRAKED OPEN.

Good grief.

I feel like (based off this video) that they did an equally good job of teasing, and both had a good reveal. But I assume that the K got full body shots after that, or at least more than 1 quarter at a time? I agree, I feel like they need to show all of Godzilla. In the movie, excepting for a silhouette, we only see his top half or bottom half. I know that the buildings cover up his legs, but maybe at the beach or something as he walked back into the ocean, that would've been perfect.

The Kraken I will still say was a bit of a dissappointed compared to Godzilla because most of his entire screen time was just focused on him coming out of the water with his face only shown briefly. I lliked that for Godzilla they kept to showing only parts of his body rather then the whole thing because it makes you feel like he is too massive to fit into some of the camera shots. As well also you could get the idea of his size when a human or humans were in the shot with a part of him to compare. While the shots of the Kraken rising up from the sea were nice, the perspective for Godzilla felt very believable and scary like when you saw his back plates rise above the Golden Gate Bridge and you looked at him from a worms-eye perspective. I didn't really need to see the whole Godzilla until the final fight.

DRAGONLORD TEVIN - I actually enjoyed the teasing in the film - it gave me time to savor the experience and wait for the big reveal! That being said, I would have liked a bit more of Godzilla on the screen - just a bit. I believe the film would have benefited substantially from a little more up-close brawling between Godzilla and th MUTOs. I also would have enjoyed seeing Godzilla wreak a little chaos and destruction upon the city and his inhabitants - since he was billed by Gareth Edwards as a "punishment upon Mankind". Other than that, I enjoyed the film immensely! By the way, that small featurette displaying the Kraken - was that from the new Clash of the Titans? I've never seen it for fear of having my fond memories of the original film dashed to pieces. I know Sam Worthington stars in the film, which is fine by me, because he's a major cutie! ;)

The Kraken and Godzilla 2014 are the smae size if Godzilla is not bigger. I used Godzilla's foot at the airport as a scale compared to Perseus flying to the Kraken poster.

Im doing an article on Godzilla 2014 vs the Kraken 2010, so you might want to check it out

Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?" He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."
