MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 11:51 PMNew monsters! I was thinking about new monster designs resently and my favourite so for is a cross between Leatherback (Pacific Rim), a Giant octopus and Titanosaurus.

MemberTitanosaurusMay-22-2014 5:13 AMI would like to see Anguirus, Rodan, Mothra, Mechagodzilla, Battra, King Ghidorah, Gigan, Megalon and/or Minilla/Little Godzilla/Godzilla Jr (what ever they decide to call Godzilla's son).

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:28 AMI'd like them to feature the old Toho monsters, redesigned of course
Life is very simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:32 AMKing Ghidorah. I reckon Hedorah would be pretty cool! So would Biollante @SomethingReal!!!

rrillustration
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:41 AMmust keep the original theme going... Leave the Toho family of monsters in the past. CG animation doesn't have the limitations the old monsters struggled with. Keep the creative energy flowing.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 9:49 AMThanks for the ideas:) SOMETHING REAL- I think Biollante would be a cool monster to see in the sequal. RRILLUSTRATION- I would like them to have new monsters to, but I would also like them to bring old ones back for all those fans that love the old monsters.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:28 PMHedorah would make the most sense and would look pretty cool with a modern twist to it. I would love to see a rematch of King Kong vs. Godzilla although getting the rights to Kong would be tough. Even a Godzilla sequel with no other monsters and the military somehow pissing Godzilla off so we could see his evil nature would be interesting.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-24-2014 5:32 AMI would just love to see a reboot King Ghidorah. Though he looked awesome redesigned in Final wars, I didn't like that they gave him four legs......

Mecha Rodan
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-09-2014 2:59 PMI would love to see
1.Anguris
2.Mothra (Probably the most likely)
3. King Ghidora
4. A new monster (MUTO)
5. Mecha Godzilla
The third movie should have either Space Godzilla and/or Destroyah.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-09-2014 10:07 PMwell as far as I'm concerned, those Godzilla bones are still in that cave ;)

MemberGiganJun-10-2014 8:17 AMYou know alot of people say they want to see Biollante in the sequels. Hedorah and Biollante could both be in the sequel, But what i thnk they should go with is this. In the second one it should be either a totally new monster, or Rodan. Rodan and mothra both fit really well into this new universe, Since they were in the prehistoric era there probably were Pterodactlyls that were over radiated and maybe even moths too. And in the third one it should be Biollante. Cause thats where he fits the most. And in the 4th one {Which was also confirmed by warner and legendary that they are gonna make a 4th one if the second and third do well} The villian of the 4th one who be king Ghidorah.
Good grief.

GG
MemberGiganJun-10-2014 8:18 AMAlso Mechagodzilla doesnt really fit into this new universe Since godzilla is a force of nature and not destruction in these movies.
Good grief.

Mecha Rodan
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-10-2014 9:20 AMWell the problem GorrilaGodzilla is that these movies could do anything the directors want. Maybe while Godzilla is fighting an enemy he accedently destroys an enire city and at the end he is bombarded by the humans and he would be labled as a threat. Then the armies of the world might ant to build a giant monster of their own. Also I think 2nd movie should be Anguirus and Mothra fight Godzilla, lose, join him in fight, and those three fight King Ghidora and the destruction would label Godzilla and his friends as villans. 3rd movie should be Godzilla and Anguirus, Mechagodzilla, and then Biollante and Godzilla would kill Biollante and destroy Mechgodzilla and maybe Anguirus dies. 4th movie should be humans try to leave Earth to find nicer planet without Godzilla and then a scout team comes back with alife form that attaches to Godzilla and over several year it becomes the new SpaceGodzilla and then those two fight and maybe Mothra and Rodan help. Also enter new monsters in each movie please.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-10-2014 12:19 PMWell if they are ever going to do that Godzilla/Pacific Rim crossover (which I doubt), it'd be a perfect place to introduce MechaGodzilla

TW_G-Fan2014
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-12-2014 12:43 PMWhat other monsters would I like to see?
MORE ALL NEW MONSTERS!!!
Toho monsters are cool, but not a single one of them are practical or useful in this new franchise's established universe and just too full of flaws to be of any use or have any credibility.
Right at the top of the list of impractical creatures are Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Mechagodzilla, and Spacegodzilla. All of them are just impractical and have close to zero modern or 'realistic' credibility.
Ghidorah is a three headed golden dragon from space. Where from in space? What planet? How did he get to earth? Why did he come to earth in the first place? None of these questions are answered in Ghidorah's original incarnation in the Showa series, and in the Heisei series he's just a mutant combination of three tiny Dorats. Lame.
Mechagodzilla is impractical becuase there's no logical reason to design a robot in the shape of a Kaiju due to anatomical limitations and constraints they put on the robots mobility, stability, and overall performance compared to a human shaped robot which can move the same as we can and fight all the more effectively with a human pilot inside.
Destoroah? No. Just no. Nothing can be "born" of a device that destroys oxygen due to the fact that every living creature on this planet needs oxygen in some form to survive. Micro-oxygen is actually used in wine making, and is not a weaponized element, so the whole micro-oxygen thing doesn't make sense.
And finally Spacegodzilla. Again, just no. First of all, Godzilla's cells never made it into space nor would they with the way the stories are being told. Secondly, being sucked into a black hole and pushed out of a white hole while being absorbed by a crystalline life form and empowered with energy from the explosions of stars? Yeah, physics took a hike on that one.
Other Toho monsters are just too weak or, again, impractical in their own right. Rodan is a pteranodon. They're extinct, so no go there. Anguirus is supposedly a dinosaur, so again, no go. Mothra is a moth. Weak. Battra is a dark version of Mothra. Say what? Oh well, it's still an insect. Weak. Ebirah is a crustacean which could actually pose a problem for Godzilla since the right crustaceans could be deadly such as the Mantis Shrimp with the fastest punch/claw attack in the animal kingdom. But everyone hates him and would never want to see him.
Gigan is some kind of mutant space robot thing. Yeah, no. Megalon is some kind of ancient civilization guard dog that looks like an insect. No. Biollante is kind of cool, but a combination of Godzilla's cells and those of a plant would not be thought of or done in a modern world due to the known dangers of such a creation as well as the fact that it just woudln't be done. Baragon is Baragon. No. Kamakura is a praying mantis which is interesting, but again it's just another insect and those get old fast. Kumonga is a spider, an arachnid, which is interesting but also falls into the idea of an insectoid monster which gets old real fast. And finally there's Meguirus, another insect.
So I love the Toho monsters, but not a single one is practical in this new franchise given the way they've set the universe up. Also, piggy backing off of Toho's success is a slap in the face to Toho.
"Hey! We did fine with our own monsters at first but there's no way we can keep it going without your monsters now! Help us out kay?! KAYYYYY?!"
Seriously, it's just contrived and stupid to use Toho's monsters when there is already a wonderful creative team in both Legendary and Warner Bros. who can create new monstesr for Godzilla to face. Why would they waste time and money going after other Toho monsters just because a lot of fans think it'd be a cool idea? They won't.
If they have any true creativity or worthiness to continue this franchise, they'll stick to new and original monsters rather than ripping off of Toho's success like a bunch of moochers.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-18-2014 8:00 AMI would like to see at least two Toho monsters (Mothra, King Ghidorah) and nothing but new creations in the future films.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-18-2014 1:07 PMIn my story treatment (which I've finished writing a complete draft of BTW, and I mean a FULL story treatment), I have Mothra and King Ghidorah as the two monsters in the first sequel. Basically, Mothra is an ally that helps Godzilla fight King Ghidorah (he struggled with the 2 MUTOs, so realistically he would need help fighting a more powerful monster).
Then save Destroyah, MechaGodzilla, and 2 new monsters for a DAM-type 3rd movie (hey, it worked for Pacific Rim and the first Transformers movie having giant behemoths fighting all over the place), have both reskined to perfection.
I dare somebody to come up with a more frontloaded sequence of monsters for the 2 sequels. I think Destroyah would be the perfect "end boss" because: 1)it would allow King Ghidorah to be introduced as early as the 2nd movie, and really? Who wouldn't wanna see that planet-destroying sonofabitch in $multi-mil CGI? And 2)He's the one and only Toho monster that's actually stronger than Ghidorah, so he would up the stakes from the 2nd movie, as if it couldn't get any higher. And 3)Just think of all the kick-ass designs they could do for him with a reskin, the possibilities are endless.

MemberBaragonJun-18-2014 1:40 PMshould biollante get to be in the sequal then if there is a trilogy then spacegodzilla will be in the triology....think about it. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-18-2014 3:17 PM@TW_G_Fan: except they could always reinvent their origin, as I'm fixing to do in my story treatment for the 2 sequels (already have the first one completed and am planning up the 2nd sequel or 3rd movie treatment).
