MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 4:01 PMYou should tell us the 3 thing you want in a sequel too.
1. More Godzilla screentime. I'm not talking Pacific Rim levels of screentime, but at least twice what he had.
2. Better script.
3. At least 1 other Toho monster.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 4:07 PM1. godzilla causing more destruction than he did in the previous film
2. godzilla actually trying to cause destruction
3. godzilla being the main villain

ゴジラ 2014 Rules
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 4:12 PMhere are mine
Make the Mutos more awesome but dont make them the same make diffrent kinds of Mutos
Keep the same Godzilla (He a Badass)
add zilla and make Godzilla vs Zilla vs Mutos fight to make grand ending and Godzilla kicked butt.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 4:28 PMgodzilla acting as a force of nature and "destroying" a city

Sci-Fi King25
MemberGiganMay-21-2014 4:58 PM1. MORE GODZILLA!
2. Better origin stories for the kaiju
3. Another cool monster like the MUTO. Imagine a modernized KING GHIDORA! I also wouldn't mind my concept of a Fire MUTO.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 7:12 PM1. More screen Time for the big G himself
2. I personally would love to see King Gidorah or Gigan or both!

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-21-2014 8:33 PMAnyone who has followed my post knows what I want:
A bigger budget (at least 25% more)
A better script (it can't get any worse)
A more established/more traditional director (no more Indie type guys who don't know how to direct a blockbuster). Did you noticed that some of the live action didn't quite jive with the CGI? Horrendously directed movie.
No MUTOs. I want to see Godzilla restore the balance of nature by attacking man.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:05 AMRATEDREX,...How do you suggest making sense of a Godzilla monster attack on humans, and cities ?
I've been thinking and there just aren't any logical motives, reasons for a Godzilla to attack.

Deadite Kaiju
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 5:34 AM1. More focus on Godzilla
2. Stronger character development
3. More destruction and battles

Godzillaser
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 7:01 AM1. More Godzilla screen times
2. Stronger human characters
3. Focus more on Godzilla

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2014 7:41 AM1 Godzilla stays the same !
2 Godzilla is the main focus and gets a lot more screen time .
3 DON'T cut off from the battels ! show each battle start to finish !!!

King Of The Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-24-2014 10:04 AM1: A little more screentime for the king as you no longer realy need to hide him.
2: Anguirus, becuase he is probably my favourate kaiju and one that deservers more love.
3: Just better performance becuase although the casting was good ATJ was a bit bland in my opinion

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-24-2014 10:10 AM@ GODZILLA 2014 RULES.
We wont have the Muto's again, It would just seem pointless and A huge dissapointment. Maybe They will add some references or a tiny fight scene. A deleted scene was the centipede monster attacking A bit of San Francisco I believe and then Godzilla Surfaces, rips the monsters throat out and then Atomic breath inside the Gapping hole. That would be quite a nice introduction to the sequel but maybe Legendary could Do it a bit like Gypsy Danger Vs Knifehead and make the battle last about 20-25 minutes.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-25-2014 11:29 AMI would like to see him look a little different perhaps from absorbing more radiation and nuclear power. With that being said when he uses his atomic breath it doesn't exhaust him like it did in this movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-26-2014 5:24 AMSPOILERS
I thought the script was pretty good, but it has it's flaws. My 3 are
1) More G sreen time. They did what they were going for, big suspense up until the big reveal, now that we know what he looks like, that doesn't need to keep happening.
2) More fights. Like I just said, we had the big build up for the finale, but they kept getting me (us?) all hyped up, ready for a battle-- then nope.
3) More use of the Atomic Blast. It was amazing, people in the theaters who had no idea about it were amazed, as well as people who did. It was held off, like EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS MOVIE, to make the reveal that much better, which it really did in this case. By that time in the movie I had completely forgotten Godzilla had that ability, and when I saw the spines charge up - oh lordy. I don't want too much use, like with anything, too much and you get too used to it, but at least explain where he got it.
I was pretty disappointed that in the movie, all the destruction scenes we saw were caused by the MUTOs, and the only time Godzilla was on land was fighting the MUTOs. But the fight scenes were still awesome.

MemberTitanosaurusMay-26-2014 7:24 AMI'd say that we need more conflict between monsters and Humanity at large, something to indicate that we're pretty much screwed at the rate these things are popping up. We also need reasons for Godzilla to be viewed in less of a positive spotlight. He needs proper reasons to cause seemingly unwarranted destruction.
I remember reading on some other threads the idea of involving an infant of Godzilla's species, perhaps even his actual biological spawn, and obviously Humans doing terrible things to separate the two. Godzilla, obviously his species being good nurturing parents, would go absolutely ballistic, and that would provide good reasoning for a return to the more destructive force of nature.
I don't know, what else could there be for that?

Xenomorphzilla
MemberMothra LarvaeMay-26-2014 1:13 PMMore Wantabe
More Cranston
More San Francisco destruction scenes
More Toho eastereggs, but not Toho monsters, new ones, equally as cool as MUTOs but different.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-26-2014 1:37 PMA better script with no ridiculous plot holes and better dialogue for the actors to chew on. And more Godzilla, I want to watch Godzilla.
@RatedRex I think you are wrong to say 'no more indie directors', both Lord of the Rings and the Avengers were big leaps of faith by the studios with small time directors, and those are some of the best-quality movies that have come out in the past two decades. Sure the hobbit kinda sucks but I blame that on Jackson getting a bit greedy about the size of his sandbox. But Avengers was fantastically written and paced (despite the cheesy material) and the director had really only done TV and one movie before that. I think Edwards showed great vision in many scenes, and would be happy to give him another chance. The scriptwriter, however....

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-27-2014 8:39 AMI agree with a few posters about making it a more of Godzilla vs man. Monster vs military might be cliche, but think about it. Of course this whole G scenario is not real, but if humans actually knew that there was a giant mosnter hibernating somewhere in the ocean there's no way we would just sit back and wait for him to surface again. Militaries around the world would have to put some kind of plan into affect to track him down and kill him even if nukes won't work. We just wouldn't sit by and do nothing.
I want other monsters as well, but "realistically" there would have to be more military vs Godzilla. Maybe that leads to man-made monsters against Godzilla which originally months ago I assumed that's what the MUTOs were.
The problem is that even if it was humans, the good guys, vs Godzilla, the enemy, fans are going to be rooting for Godzilla no matter what. That could throw off the entire dynamic and maybe that's why they decided to make Godzilla more of anti-hero than straight up villain in the first place. It'll be interesting to see where these next movies go.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-28-2014 11:39 AMHere are my thoughts -
1) I would obviously like to see more godzilla. No "flash" tease apperance and then you dont get to see him for 10-20 min later.
2) I felt like the music during the godzilla vs muto fight scenes was distracting. The music overpowered the scenes. I would like to have more smash and demolishing sound effects instead of so much music. Did anyone else notice this?
3) Dont kill off the best actor in the movie. At least wait until closer to the end of the movie. That was very disappointing. Get a better script.
4) More fight scenes during the day and not in a city. I think you can have better fighting action outside of a city like in the classic godzilla movies. If you want city scapes then have them fight next to the city.
5) More godzilla walking through a city or just walking area period. Once they showed him upright next to the goldengate bridge I was thrilled. Then they took him away! Godzilla walking around a city for 5 straight minutes would have made everyone happier.
6) As far as the godzilla design is concerned, I was very impressed. I wish the godzilla roar was more like the classic godzilla but I cant complain too much.
7) If there is a muto in the next film I would like to see something walking upright like godzilla. Two legs, two arms. Just personal preferance.
I honestly hope they get a new director.
That said...GO GO GODZILLA!
