Hello everyone! I would say my favorite character in Godzilla 2014 would have to Bryan Cranston's character, Joe Brody. I just loved how he never gave up no matter what. He knew they were hiding something relating to his wife's death and he needed to know! He was such a great character who needed to be in it longer. (Spoiler) I hated how he died straight away. I wish he could have died a bit later into the film. He was the only character I really cared about to be honest. I did like Ford Brody but not as much as Joe. Bryan Cranston portrayed Joe Brody's character very well. He was the perfect actor for Joe! So who was your favorite character?

EDIT: By the way, I mean "human character" so you can't pick Godzilla or the MUTOs.

DEADITE KAIJU - I couldn't agree more with you! Joe Brody is without a doubt my favorite character within the film. It amazes me how he can be somber, enraged, tender, driven, resigned, devastated and slightly comical all within the relatively short amount of time we see him. An absolutely fantastic character! :)

@Something Real - That is so true! He portrayed so many different emotions and characteristics in the one person which is truly amazing. You couldn't have said it any better :)

I'm so freakin sad Joe had to die so early in the film :( Ford is also such an underrated character, he went thruogh a lot and is a soldier, so he's still a valid character, people would really have just rooted for Joe more than Ford due to Joe being able to express himself more

I don't know why, but I really like Vivienne Graham. :)

I think of Joe and Dr. Serizawa as default favorites. How can they NOT be favorites? :D

I think it would be Elle brody for me. I mean how did she survive?!! I thought she was a character many people could relate to and was easy to like.

How far can we push nature before it pushes back?

Joe Brody (Cranston) first and second place both. Ken Watanabe a distant third...GZ 4th.

well i think Joe Brody is an absolute favorite haha , i loved Mr. Cranston amazing performance , he was a man crazy to prove that he was right and that his wife's death was not in vein , i have to admit that i cried with the interrogation scene ... and i hate to cry , i also really liked Elle Brody , she is a mother who is worried for her son safety and has to pretend in front of her son that everything will be ok , she's a wife who doesnt know where her husband is , she only knows that he's coming and thats it and a nurse who has to deal with the victims of this disaster , and she's stuck in the middle of this unbelievable and terrifying mayhem , Elizabeth Olsen did a really good job portraying these 3 personifications , besides that she's one of my favorite actresses ( just watch martha marcy may marlene , this women amazed me with that performance and other of her movies ) , i loved the Vivienne Graham and Dr. Serizawa duo , i dont know i just loved it , i like how she calls Serizawa her sensei , it gave these characters and the movie a really nice touch , and yeah i liked the Ford Brody character , i mean he's a soldier who has to deal with the death of his father by the ... hands of the male MUTO , above that he has to deal with the thought that his wife and kid are in the middle of a monstruos mayhem , and he will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to reunite once again with his family even if that means to be face to face with THE KING.

Well  i LOVED the movie , and after the second watch i loved it even more  , im gonna watch it like 3 or 4 more times :D . And by the monsters , the MUTOS  , LOVED THEM , and Godzilla ... i cheered , clapped , screamed and even throwed my popcorn into the air everytime he appeared i'm even more proud to be a G-fan with this movie , now i'll go and keep watching the 1954 classic while i wait for wednesday to watch tis movie for the third time.
