I'll keep you posted on my reaction when I get back. :)
Record footage
There are strong men and weak men. The strong ones are here to keep the weak ones up when ever they fail.
It was...wow...just wow in terms of the monster action. Edwards got it right with the scale of Godzilla. I really like how he manages to capture the sheer size of the beast, both the big G and the MUTOs.
Now onto SPOILER MATERIAL...
As for the movie, don't flame me but I might have to nitpick here and there. The first half of the movie up to the Honoulu attack was well done. Tense and edge-of-your-seat. The second half with the train and the nukes seem to bog down a bit in terms of pacing, only for it come up again at the end with the San Francisco attack. Edwards might have done his "teasing" of Godzilla a bit too much as I find it a touch irritating in places when you get only a glance of the big G before switching back to the human action.
But the final battle really is something incredible and compensates for all those minor weaknesses in the film. I don't find Aaron Taylor- Johnson as one dimensional as some of the critics say. Particularly at the early part in the film at Janjira, he showed real emotion with his Dad. Maybe when he went into "military mode" he was all business, so that might explain it.
Godzilla looks great. Yes, I would prefer to see him more, but it works fine for this film.
Nitpicks aside, I like this movie alot. You really don't need me to say it here of all places, but all the same, GO SEE IT!!!!!!!
