New Review from Pre-screener with Negative Feedback (no spoilers)

It seems that this guy really hates Aaron Taylor-Johnson. I think that what the guy said about Aaron Taylor-Johnson's acting could be true as I don't think Aaron was even remotely passionate about being part of a godzilla movie, Judging from an interview I've seen. It probably was just for the paycheck.

I think we all would have loved for Cranston to be the main character but it's necessary to have a young military man as the main character to have a reason to fully be involved in everything thats going on. I'm only familiar with ATJ from the kick ass films so I'll have to wait and see.

I could care less if the plot is slow moving as long as it hits all the emotional notes and constantly builds tension/establishes tone. However if the reviewer is right and all this rests on an uncharismatic lead than we could be in trouble. Guess well find out for ourselves in just over a week.

Was expecting our man Bryan Cranston to storm away with the "best actor in Godzilla" award because he is phenomenal :P

With regards to Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen I'm not expecting too much: firstly I've not seen either of them in anything so I don't knowe what to expect to be fair! Based off of the trailers and sich they don't look like they're gonna blow me away, but as long as their characters serve purpose in the film it'll all be gravy.

Not to mention that, when acting, Godzilla wasn't around - I'm not sure how I'd react if a director said to me "okay so there's this colossal monster stood in front of you. Have fun!" - getting that realistic could be, well, difficult xD Though the part about ATJ's lack of emotion can't really be explained aside lacklustre acting.

Regardless,there is only one 'actor' in this film that I think we all want to see ;) I imagine I will still love the film, poor acting or not, owing to being a Godzilla fan xD

Im just glad we have an honest review, and again it could be just his style of viewing but atleast we have a different opinion now. Still gonna watch it and see for myself.

^ This. For some reason some people have an unnatural hate of Aaron Taylor Johnson and his acting ability based off of Kick Ass.

I'm just gonna have to see the movie for myself. One person says that there's not enough Godzilla yet this implies other wise and vice versa. There was an AMA that a viewer of the movie did on Reddit and he said the ATJ was decent but Bryan Cranston was excellent.

After all the leaked reviews I've read I've had yet to see someone say the movie wasn't good or had huge negatives. Most people are liking/loving it.

I think I'll wait and decide for myself. At least he said the cgi was incredible and from what we have seen, Aaron Taylor Johnson looks like quite a competent actor. That is the critics opinion and I think you should all make your own judgements. Thanks junkerde from the news.

I knew this was coming ever since I saw the trailer and he said 'Can we kill it'. Horrible delivery on such a simple line. Them focusing entirely on Bryan Cranston for the trailers was also indicative that they weren't confident on ATJ's performance.

At the end of the day though, most Godzilla movies are terrible from beginning to end but I still love them, so if this movie is only a 7/10 I'd still consider it one of the best entries to the franchise.

I must say I'm not bothered by spoilers, In fact it's a good thing that I got to find out the thing about Bryan Cranston's character, I would be probably more annoyed seeing it happen in the theatre. As for the rest of the review, we will have to wait and see for our selves.

this guy just bashes aron taylor johnson like its his job. I find him  very negative only over taylor johnson. He states the rest of the movie was so good it kept him on the edge of his seat. How the hell is this a negative review? he hates aron, and love everything elese? he made a horiable review, and you need to change the topics main senteance to idiot review guy who hates aron taylor johnson, but loved the rest of the film.

He didn't state he loved the rest of the film. He also mentiond Olsen's performance was underwhelming, and that the movie fell apart during the third act.

We can't say he's wrong or he's an idiot because we haven't seen the movie yet. For all we know, he's absolutely right on all counts.

I'm just glad he still liked it, despite its issues.

Movies have survived even with a terrible actor as the main character, they basically either strip the character out of the story in the next film or replace the actor. Now in Star Wars Prequel case, they just kept shooting themselves in the foot lol. I'll be comparing Aaron's performance to Matt "Ferris Bueller" performance in Zilla1998, simply because both are deemed US Godzilla films. I pretty sure Aaron performance will be better than Matt's

Durtoak or what ever your name is. He said right up their that he loved the movie besides Aron Taylor Johnson and  olsen That they made the plot slow. Your honstley going with this guys opinion? If you are your an idiot, and needs to follow your own instincts and not just one.  Their will be a group of reviews that will think this movie will suck, and you need to live with that. He loved the action, the suspence, the monsters, brion Cranston. He did not like olsen or Johnson or ken, but he loved the rest. Open your fu##king eyes.

Before insulting someone else's intelligence, it's generally a good idea that your spelling, grammar, and facts are in order.

Never once did I say that I 100% agree with this reviewer. I'm saying that he's stating his opinion, and we can't say he's biased or an idiot because we have no way of knowing if he's right or wrong. He's seen the movie, and we haven't, that's all we know.

You should calm down before posting further. It seems that this topic has gotten you really riled up.

He said the movie had its flaws, but yet he still loved it. Guys, let's be real here, we WANT an honest reviewer, because they did not love it just because it was Godzilla. The guy said the film has minor flaws but yet he still said explicitly that he LOVED IT

Correct.  We cant expect "11/10 movie of the year, the next citizen kane!" everytime there is a prescreening, it's good to see honest reviews. Plus again I BOLDED the part about him LIKING THE FILM despite its flaws.
