One thing I have to say is Bryan Cranston is a phenomenal actor, he steals each scene whether is is crying, shouting, or even looking around. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of the worst actors I have ever seen.
He just lacks charisma and when he tries to convey emotions it is without any conviction in his eyes and combine that with Elizabeth Olsen who I adore but overacts in every other scene, it was cringing experience.
The worst part of it all was how slow the plot was moving in the whole movie. They should of just Axe Aaron character all together and have Bryan be the main protagonist. With that being said, the visual affects of this movie was amazingly well done. The outskirts of Tokyo, Hawaii and San Fan was beautifully depicted. The destruction and chaos of cars, buildings, and planes falling everywhere had me on the edge of my seat.
When there was fighting, it was captivating and I cheered hard for the king of monsters. If they were able to just edit out all of Aaron Taylor's parts and reduced the movie to one hour and 30 mins then it would of worked much better. The pacing was great in the first 40 mins and fell apart in the 3rd act. I loved the film even with its minor faults, I would def recommended to everyone who is a fan of the beast. Jaden Smith and Aaron Taylor should have a battle on who have the worst "acting" ability.
A little disheartening when we know ATJ is our lead character.....but we'll see.
