It's an awesome soundtrack, the best of Desplat in my opinion.

Soundtrack is pretty epic. I decided to put up the OST as well, except just in one big video with timestamps

After listening to all of it, my opinion took a 180 degree turn. This score is almost perfect! I was wrong about the epicness. It does not have the modern electronic horn BWAAAA epicness (Like many Hans Zimmer copycats), but a more simphonic and old-school approach, making it a very good nostalgia trip. My favourite part of the soundtrack is the sad part of "Power Plant" (will almost certainly play while Joe Brody watches the doors closing between him and his wife).

This soundtrack is awesome. I will definitely getting this when it comes. It would go so well the movie.

I really like this soundtrack and I'm going to list the things I like most:

1. The amount of bombastic climactic sounds suggests a lot of action scenes

2. The use of traditional japanese instruments

3. The way it sounds unique and unlike what I've heard before, yet some moments clearly reminded me of the classic godzilla scores

4. The last song titled "Back to the ocean" clearly suggests that a Godzilla is not viewed as a bad guy at the end of the film, but as a kind of unsung hero.

The only criticism I can think of is that there weren't enough smaller more quiet moments in the soundtrack. Because the quiet bits that I did hear were very good.
