Hello everyone! I'm here with what could be bad news.

According to Daily Mail UK, viewers of last night's Asian Godzilla trailer did not quite have the desired reaction.

No, viewers in Japan instead said they liked the way Godzilla looks, but that he's a bit on the chubby side.

You can read the full article here, but if you don't have time, here's a piece of it:

"He is also described as 'pudgy and cute' and 'out of shape' with either 'no neck' or one like an American Football athlete's."

Not so sure this is a good reaction. Could this mean that audiences might LAUGH at Godzilla?

Yes. The heisei godilla looks really fat as much as i love it. Get used to it. As much as the 2014 look is supposed to be muscula, there really are pudgy and cute traits in it. No need to go friggin boo fucking hoo about it. Because when g is put into the context of the movie it will all come together

GMAN is right as usual.

No need to get all hot and bothered by this. Its the reaction of one group of internet users, not representative of every Godzilla fan. Furthermore, the Daily Mail is hardly what I call a credible and respected source of news.

Awww! Poor sweatheart! He's not pudgy - he's husky! Like an Indian Rhino - it's all those layers of armored hide that give him a roundish figure. It's all muscle underneath! ;)

Hey, he may be pudgy and cute, but he's OUR pudgy and cute monster! In any case, as far as pudgy goes, do those same people forget the later Heisei Godzillas, or if you want cute the later Showa designs? We'll see how cute he is when he's tearing the s#@t out of everything!

bad as I hate to say it, I agree with the japanese fans. At least with their version of G only his legs and hips are fat but gareths G from the neck down is just huge like he's bloated or something. Still love the design just wish they would have slimmed his chest and belly up a bit but oh well maybe if we are blessed enough to have a sequel they will tweek the design a bit.
