is akira takarada's role monarch?

The way the word was used on the M.U.T.O. Research page, it gave me more of the impression that "monarch" was some sort of anti-hacker software.

I think Akira Takarada is going to be an older, present day Serizawa. So basically he's going to be the flash forward version of Ken Watanbe

Now it's POSSIBLE that Dr. Serizawa becomes Monarch, as part of his attempt find redemption and clean up what he help create in the past. But I don't think that's quite what they will go with. 

I think Richard T. Jones will be playing Monarch, since his character is billed on wikipedia as: "Mysterious Military Figure"

I don't think Akira would have that big of a role. :O

I believe that Dr. Serizawa is the Monarch.

I completely agree.  Akira filmed his scene(s) in one day in what appeared to be an airport terminal, so it is most likely that his role will be a brief cameo.  I wish he were in the film more, but at least he is in the film!  Thats just so amazing and special!

Wouldn't it be crazy if he were playing an old Ogata?! :O (unlikely, but still fun to speculate!)
