MemberMothra LarvaeDec-23-2013 12:26 PMi have thought of this, but the muto from the comic con does not sound like a megaguirus once you really thinck about it
king of the monsters
C'mon people, no Toho monsters. As much as we'd LOVE to see that, we won't get that this time around. Plus, I really like the idea of seeing new creative modern monsters.
Thank you, OGN....well put!
NO.....TOHO.....MONSTERS....WILL.....BE....IN......THIS......MOVIE!!!!!
(except Godzilla)
It will not be Megaguirus.
There are not Toho monster in this film beyond Godzilla.
Why?
Legendary never bought the rights to any other Toho kaiju. They all have their own licenses, but they only purchased Godzilla's. Toho themselves were only supervising Godzilla's appearance. They had no other involvement in the prodcution.
There are no Toho monsters in this film except for Godzilla.
End of story.
I've read that bs before. The thing is Toho is not going to allow Warner/Legendary to introduce a new kaiju into the franchise. That must doesn't make sense from an intellectual property rights perspective. Also, until the movie is released the licensing details will remain confidential. You can dispute Megaguirus, but you can confirm both Meganulan and Monster X on the M.U.T.O. research site. It is also obvious that the monster in the leaked trailer is a queen Meganulan. Whether she mutates into Megaguirus, per se, remains to be seen.
The mutos could be VERY similar to Megaguirus and pay an extreme amount of homage to the character but I don't think it's going to be the exact same monster.
My evidence for this is the mutoreasearch.net site. I've typed in every monster name I could think of and only three say anything other than "we can neither confirm nor deny the existence of this monster." Gojira gives you the King of the Monsters reply. Monster X tells you to seek shelter immediately. Finally, Meganulan gives you a security warning, roughly the same warning as when you enter Joe Brody or Monarch. That's pretty much an admission the way I see it.
Those are just automatic responses that it gives randomly whenever you type in someting that isn't in its word bank.
Interesting that those "random" responses are always the same. I've tried it three times and it's given me consistent results. Nothing random there.
I just typed in every form of megaguirus(megaguirus, meganula, and meganulon) and besides system cannot confirm or deny ect there was nothing that flagged me as a hint these would be in the movie. Meganulon gave me the random responses like some1 said earlier so like i said, muto may play homage but there's no hint the actual character is in the movie from that site at least
Only TOHO Ltd. Monster will be Godzilla folks!
Exactly! And we know that Meganulon appear I'm this film because those "random" access alert messages ONLY are generated in response to character names from the film being entered.
No there's no evidence of that at all. You can type Gamera and get random responses so by your logic Gamera is in the movie
You do have to acknowledge that fact that the MUTO strikingly resembles Megaguiris though.
