 I vote  G 2001,G1967 and of course G2004

G 2001 took on 3 guardian monsters and a whole millitary without picking up too much of a scratch.

G 1967 had 3 giant mantises gang up on him and knoked all 3 out without picking up any marks.

G2004 you all know, took on over 10 monsters without mostly even being touched.

Mutos would pretty much get owned by them and be left in pieces.

Personally, I think every incarnation wouldn't have that much trouble beating the snot out MUTOs.

What does Break a sweat easily killing the MUTOS like G14 mean? If I'm not mistaking (and I'm not) he was getting his but kicked (IM NOT AUGRING)

I think the best one to do is probably 2001! He is probably the tough test incarnation!!!!!!

There are strong men and weak men. The strong ones are here to keep the weak ones up when ever they fail.

If we're taking the size differences out of the equation any version would smash them. If not since I have a hard time seeing showa take two monsters one of which is almost twice his size and coming out on top. Heisei, Final Wars, and GMK godzillla would wipe them out though no problem.

i feel that the muto's could potentially pose a threat to most godzilla incarnations. the shear size of these creatures are already enough to overwhelm the showa incarnations, esspeciallythe  female who has shown to be able to knock 90,000 tons down to the ground. as well as carve stright through tons of solid rock out of a mountain. the muto's might be a great challenge to the hensei godzilla. they seem roughly equel too or even more deadly by comparison with mothra and battra when they took on godzilla.

Without breaking a sweat. Finall Wars and Burning, in a figth almost any Version could kill them without struggling to much

I don't know, I think any Goji can defeat the Mutos, unless the size of the goji counts. :o

The question should really be which Godzilla would have the easiest time with the mutos. My vote is for GMK version. That Godzilla is probably the meanest, scarriest, and most butt-kicking of all.

Depends on how they will be fighting.

If the MUTOs double team again like they did G2014, then I think it would be MUCH more difficult for any Godzilla incarnation than one-on-one. Definitely not "without breaking a sweat."

Double teaming has happened in the past with G films as well, and everytime, Godzilla did experiance some difficulties with it.

Take G2004 for example. Yeah, he was slaughtering through all the kaiju when it was one-on-one, but when he had to duel teams (Anguirus, King Ceasar, and Rodan; Gigan and Monster X), it took a lot more effort.

Same thing happened to G75 when he took on Titano and MechaG2 at once. He was getting his ass kicked for a good while.

But of course, if any Godzilla incarnation would fight the MUTOs one-on-one, then yes, I can see any them coming out on top without any serious strains. Kind of like the fight with Megaguirus; it would be a drawn out fight like any other, but when Godzilla gets down and dirty, it's no contest.

However, that changes if we count past Godzilla heights in the fight. Remember, Godzilla 2014 is the tallest Godzilla to date. He (and the MUTOs) dwarfs many of the past incarnations, especially the showa era and most of the millennium era (G2004 as the exception). Heisei incarnations would be your best bet in the fight if we count size, but even they are about 25 ft shorter (100 meters = 330 ft; 108 meters = 355 ft).

I have to say, you don't really want to mess with the MUTOs. They're pretty good opponents in retrospect. o_O

Showa after Godzilla vs Mothra could defeat them without a literal sweat, and Heisei would oblitrate, not sure if Godzilla vs Mothra or 84 would, but the others besides those would Own.

Millenium, only Final wars would defeat them. Gmk not sure.

Good grief.

Only Final Wars would bet them? In Godzilla 2000 Godzilla's first and only fight with a monster was an extra-terrestrial being with Megatron's canon for a shoulder. The Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Megaguirus evaded a Black Hole. Three monsters couldn't take down Godzilla in GMK and the Kiryu Godzilla took out monsters no less vicious than the MUTO offscreen as a warning sign. The Millennium Godzillas would make quick work of them.

I'm fairly confident a closer match might be between the MUTO and, say, Ebirah.

I think it depends on the situation. If it's one-on-one, later Godzilla iterations Heisei and beyond generally have a strong chance, but tag-teamed? Only the strongest have been able to fend off multiple opponents at once, and that's not often.

For one-on-one, I'd say the later Showas and all the Heisei and Millennium could.

For a two-on-one, I'd say FinalGoji (Final Wars), DesuGoji (Burning Godzilla), and SokogekiGoji (GMK) would have a large chance.

Gman i feel as if you are underestimating the Mutos.

We are talking about a tag team, not alot of Godzilla's have experienced those.

Take Heisei, the second he jumped into the Beam spammer fight with Battra and Mothra he was getting owned, he freaking stood there as Battra carried a caroswheel over to him.

Godzilla 2000 was fighting another monster, and i vividly remember 2000 getting beaten hard for a good bit of the fight, what if he were fighting to vicious monsters not giving him a second to breath or regain his balance.

Gotta understand that the Mutos tag teaming strengths are very powerful, they didnt even give Godzilla 2014 a chance to get a breathe when they went all out.

Good grief.

^I agree the tag teaming is brutal, but I don't consider them all that mighty in comparison to other tag teams. Mothra and Battra only started winning when they worked together and one of those monsters has a fairly impressive track record of overcoming Godzilla anyway. Love her or hate her, Mothra has always been one of Godzilla's most powerful opponents.

And having watched the Godzilla 2000 Bluray recently. Godzilla seemed very much in control of the battle for the most part-- Impressive since Orga is a more limber, beam spitting, alien creature.

Perhaps Ebirah was selling them short... Maybe Megalon...

^xD i do agree with you for that post.

But i believe Godzilla 2014 could have taken Battra and Mothra, atleast that version of Mothra.

They werent all that powerful compared to Godzilla, its just that the version of Heisei was really dumb and didnt know what he was doing.

Godzilla 2014 would for the most part be beaten up but he would definitley dodge that caroswheel that took 30 seconds to get over to Heisei and Heisei just stood there, didnt fry Battra, just stood there.

You gotta admit that was pretty dumb.

The Titanosaurus and MechaG tag team, it wasnt really a tag team when you think about it.

When Titano fought Godzilla MechaG wasnt doing anything really, and when MechaG fought Goji Titano wasnt punching him profusely.

The Mutos however, were profusely stabbing him without remorse or a moment for him to catch his breath.

In heinsight, Titano and Mecha could do the same, but they never did so we will never know there tag teaming capabillity's.

I would atleast bump the Mutos up to early Showa competitors.

Good grief.

^Which is why G14 can be considered a late showa film in Gman's article.

I just want to add there's no way G2014 could take on the heisei mothra and battra that heisei godzilla did. Since every variation has fought at least 2v1 at one point in every series and all of those duos are definitely more threatening than the mutos I don't think any version wouldn't be able to handle that 2v1 if they were scaled equally. Being relentless doesn't matter since every other variation took either beams, or some type of atrillery along with melee attacks. The mutos had no long range attack so most versions would just fry them before they even dont close.

ModeratorGiganOct-11-2014 7:41 PM

Durpoo, not sure, Mothra and Battra in heisei were relying on there beams, if the Mutos were able to get close and combat i dont know who would win, Mothra was reletively beaten by a few claw swipes by Godzilla.

Also i dont agree when you say the Mutos are the weakest tag team, the tag team in final wars was pretty bad.

the one in showa, although being awesome, Titano and MechaG were fighting action movie style, not tag teaming.

Godzilla 2014 i think could reletively survive ranged blows, i stated in a thread i made you might of heard of it, i said that 2014 although he tanked Nuclear weapons he was being pierced by the Mutos.

Its cause there claws were designed to do so, to penetrate the hide. But when its just beams, i think LegendaryGoji would do well.

Good grief.
